Great campsite with lovely maintained pitches. On the outskirts of the town but easily reached by bike.Highly recommended.
Liked:Lovely peaceful site alongside a lake with covered Swimming Pool. When we booked the pool was not advertised on pitch up, It looks fairly new.Friendly staff on reception and has a small bar with bouncy castle.Pitches are a reasonable size, some with shade.Good kids play park. There appeared to be some kind of kids animation program but not on the day we stayed. We would have stayed longer had we not already booked our next site.Disliked:The toilet block! It’s a unisex facility which would be fine if you didn’t have to walk through the urinals area to get in. Take your own loo roll and soap.I think before the pool was added this was the male facilities and the new pool changing area was the ladies. The two are now combined into one. The urinals really should be removed or a new entrance made so girls don’t have to walk past males doing their business!
Lovely looking and very reasonably priced site with large pitches, very clean facilities and very friendly staff on arrival.Unfortunately a low rating as our stay was ruined by a group of french teenagers marauding around the site throwing stones almost hitting vehicles, fighting, bullying younger children and being very loud at night (as late as 11:30pm) with no parents or site staff anywhere to be seen. This then carried on in the morning in the toilet area.A real shame as this is a great place in many ways, however I haven’t experienced this on a site before and it has put me off staying here again. Perhaps we were just unlucky with our fellow guests!
We stayed for one night before catching a ferry at Dunkirk. We had not prebooked but this was no problem. The site is in town and not the easiest to find as it is behind a housing area but it is pleasant and welcoming and reasonably priced. The pitches are a good size and hedged, but trees and lampposts may make getting onto them more challenging. The toilet block is large, modern and immaculate. All in all a nice place.
Great atmosphere, great site, very good sanitaires and pool. Even provided a spot for an artisan from the Auvergne to sell his produce - excellent.
