Just spend 5 nights at Le Royon with my family of 4, including 2 kids aged 8 & 10. Overal a nice, tidy and friendly campsite with an above average pool area with slides for the kids.We had an old and rather run down chalet near the reception. The chalet was not level, the outside terras had sagged and the steps were a bit wobbly. The cutlery, plates etc were cobbled together from different sets, so no two plates, glasses, knifes, forks or spoons were alike. We found the campite to be quiete during the day, but from 21.30-23.30 there usually was very loud music or other loud activities in the tented stage area right next to the bar/recpeption.Since we were located close to the reception, this ruined the experience for me quite a bit.Other negatives were the at times very poor payed Wi-Fi, mostly French-only signs, notes, notices and activities throughout the camp-site, ice cold shower-tunnel entering the pool area and somewhat limited opening of the pool (10.00-12.00 and 14.00-18.30).Positives were the helpfull en decent english speaking staff at the reception, petting zoo area, location to nice beaches, supermarket, attractions, and the flexibility in booking.

We are camping here again this year, this will be our third year. Its a fantastic campsite the facilities are good, its great having an indoor and outdoor pool, the play area is lovely and our two children loved the small farm area. The staff are friendly there is plenty of entertainment if you want it but the campsite is tranquil enough if you just want a quite time as well. Its well located, just 5 minutes down the road to the supermarket by bike and ten minutes to the beach. Its ideal for a family holiday there is so much to do in the area so even if the weather is not great you can still entertain the kids. Love it, we look forward to many more happy holidays at Camping Le Royon.

We had great holidays here. Rented lodge and it was incredibly clean and had all brand new utensils. The whole home looked like noone stayed before us. Great size heated indoors pool was clean and people enjoyed being able to swim when it's only +13 degrees outside. Definitely highly recommended.

The camping itself is fine, but the facilites, especially the unisex toilets were substandard. Several of them were shut down, there were no toilet paper and not even toilet seat rings to sit on or soap to wash your hands with. Some of them were also more or less of the outdoor kind, meaning there was little privacy. To make things worse there were also rubbish containers (full) just outside the toilets, which attracted an army of flies. As all of the above seemed to be on purpose, there was no point in complaining. You would expect more from a four star camping with the prices charged, especially when considering that even basic campings (non-star) in the rest of Europe generally have better facilities than this. Just as previous negative reviews, I imagine this review will also render a snapish reply from the camping, but the above mentioned circumstances are actual facts and not just our opinions.

If you want a pool then fine but otherwise very overpriced, not great facilities and a fair way away from restaurants.
