AIRE NATURELLE DE CAMPING LE VERGER

Great camping site for small to medium RV's, caravans and tents. The camp has 60 pitches but only 6 toilets and 6 showers so quite often there is a queue for both. Showers and toilets generally clean with toilet seats and toilet paper. Also a small bar where you can purchase drinks and snacks. There is a different food wagon each night however the food was not to our liking so we cooked in our tent most of the time. You can also order bread and croissants the night before from the reception. The camp doesn't allow car movement after 10pm so we found the site generally quiet and the majority of the children well behaved. Do be aware if you have a large caravan/tent etc. That most of the plots are medium to small in size so we struggled with an 8 birth tent. La Rochelle is 7.5km away, approx. 15 - 20 mins by car or you can hire bikes onside. La Rochelle is a beautiful town with over 200 cafe's and restaurants and is very historic. Prices are similar to UK here but the atmosphere very pleasant, also plenty of boat trips available from the massive harbour. Would recommend.

We loved this campsite. Our pitch was surrounded in bushes for some shelter/ privacy.. and had fragrant lavender at the entrance. It also had a nice shady spot under the canopy of walnut tree with a beautiful wooden bench. We ate a delicious Yunnan wok dish for dinner from a local food truck which parked at the entrance... and drank locally produced wine and beers.Highly recommend!!

Stayed on the bikers campsite for three days with my friend. Absolutely loved our stay there! They were very friendly and accomodating, the camping is small and very green, there is a small bar with basic food and drinks and a food stand every evening to get dinner. Would totally recommend!

About a 15 minute drive into La Rochelle. Site is very flat but quite open with little privacy. Toilet blocks were pretty clean They got busy from time to time but nothing ridiculous. Cost was high, 38 euros for 2 people in a campervan with electricity.

5 stars for sure. Amazing camping, with a really nice atmosphere. I visited the camping with my girlfriend. And what an idea to have a different food truck at the camping every night.The owners of the camping are really helpful! They speak English very well and they are very knowledgeable about the region. Besides that, the camping is perfectly located. Just a 17 minute drive from the La Rochelle city center. And trust me, La Rochelle is worth a visit, especially during a summer evening.Some a small point of improvement. I would recommend to plant some bushes on the left side of the camping. The concrete walls just across the field are no so interesting. Just some bushes would clear this up.Besides that, amazing camping, keep up the good work!
