Latest reviews for AIRE NATURELLE DU GRAND PRÉ
Excellent spot for cyclists.Communal table and electricity.Wifi.Bathrooms and showers clean and don’t close.I’ve seen many along the west coast of France. but this is the best on offer.
Very nice for camping or small motor homes and caravans.Electric available.Free hot showers.Very clean well maintained.Peaceful surroundings.Internet available at reception where there are phone charging and table tennislovely helpful owners.
Best atmosphere ever. It's quiet, in the nature and the owners are so cool. They got free wifi in a zone. They got a free frezer. Showers and toilets are clean. Two people in a tent pay 15€. In the morning there is a baker coming.
Very good site with caring management. Pitches are very pleasant, outlook is magnificent, facilities are good. It is a rural area, so there is always a risk of noisy farm machinery quite late in the evening, but after that, very peaceful.
A great family-run campsite in beautiful natural surroundings. Highly recommend. We first tried Le Grand Pré a few years back as we were tired of those big campsites where the tents are packed together like sardines, you have to keep a constant eye on the kids and you’re kept awake by parties and activities well into the night.Four years later we’re still going to Le Grand Pré! The pitches are hugely generous. To give you an idea, we can fit our 8m x 4m tent, a second smaller tent and two cars. And there’s still plenty of room to put out our tables and chairs, not to mention the badminton set! We hire a fridge along with the pitch, which means we can do a couple of big shops to last us our whole 3-week stay. We’re not constantly worried about where the kids are – they’ll either be on the swings, playing football on the huge improvised pitch in the middle of the campsite, or huddled around their electronics in the Wi-Fi area. In terms of pitch numbers, the campsite is small enough that kids get to make friends quite quickly so there’s no need for the kids clubs you get on the bigger campsites. There’s a swimming pool in Saujon, which is a 5-minute drive away, and the closest beach is only 10 minutes by car.As for noise, the only sound you’ll hear after 10pm is the crickets lulling you off to sleep, and in the morning a gentle birdsong alarm clock to wake you up.There’s no shop on site but the boulangère stops by every morning (except Mondays) around 9.30am selling baguettes, croissants and pains au chocolat. And there are loads of supermarkets nearby for your big shop. The campsite itself is kept immaculate by Patrick and Chantal. The toilets and showers are clean; there is a washing machine as well as facilities for handwashing clothes. The pitches are lined with different trees and bushes to offer natural shade. The campsite is a great base for the beautiful beaches along the coast, and there are lots of picturesque coastal and inland villages to visit. There are lots of activities for the kids in the area, too. Chantal will give you booklets and recommendations when you arrive. If you want to get away from it all, I couldn’t recommend Le Grand Pré highly enough.
