CAMPING BEAULIEU

It is in fact a campsite.It is also in the middle of an industrial estate. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of de-restricted mopeds and the occasional low pass of a Un Dassault Rafale.If one needs to get new tyres fitted or order a specific part for a construction project, you are in an arms reach.The centre of town is a brisk 50 minute walk away. Or there is the option of an Auto Bus which shaves off a whole 10 minutes, there is also the option for a bike hire from Yellow Velo which only cost a euro each way and is only 15 minutes for an able bodied guest.The on site facilities are whats to be expected. The restaurant was closed during our time there, which wasn’t mentioned at check in for some reason, but the pool was accessible.Make sure to have your tight trunks, as anything that allows blood flow is forbidden.The toilets, changing, dish washing and BBQs are all conveniently placed in the same square meterage.If one were to need the toilet, they would be able to keep an eye on their grilling Steak Hache from the cubicle. Very ergonomic.Overall: practical as a space to put something you sleep in, on. And you will get to know your neighbours in a social, dietary and bowel movement capacity. Location is something to be desired.

This is a mature site with many mature trees around, so lots of leaves etc underfoot. Particularly at the sanitary block entrance. The site would benefit from some serious pruning and tree management to provide less shade and more sunlight.

Fantastic Site We stayed here for 4 nights in October, the pitch we had was brilliant and was really big you could have fitted 2 motorhomes on it. Reception staff were fantastic, shower block was clean. Ideal location for visiting La Rochelle, buses from Hyper U 10 minutes away, uber service was great getting us back to the campsite late at night.

Nice site and staff but completely let down by the sanitary facilities. Needs to be modernised as soon as possible.

When we’re arrived booked for three nights? left after the first night pitch was wet from the previous camper emptying is waste tank! bitten by mosquito about 6x I knew this is not for me. Shower and toilets very poor and not enough…no grey water or chemical waste in sight…. overall it looks very uncared for…..France has overall excellent campsites
