Latest reviews for CAMPING LES BALEINES
Clean showers and facilities, cycle routes right outside the site. Good motor home service point and quiet relaxed site. Photo is from the old lifeboat station at the end of the campsite. Beach is clean and mix of sandy areas and pebble beach. When we visited sea was not safe to swim in but that is our safe opinion.
This is a wonderful and relaxed Camping site. The facilities are very well managed and organised brilliantly.Great Boulangerie/Cafe in the morning with Bar and Light Bites in the evening. The staff are always happy to help. Basically, always happy! The location is perfect for the beach and cycle routes.A community feel and beautifully simple destination! I shall return
I have to say the service of all the staff on this campsite was extremely helpful. They spent sone time trying to help us with our breakdown . The pitches are spacious and facilities were great.
Really lovely campsite, quite and ideal for people who want to get away from the normal high activity sites. Easy access to the coast for walking, cycling or the beach. No restaurant on site but available 5 mins walk to the lighthouse complex where there are various shops. Croissants/bread available if ordered the day before and collect at reception. Only 15mins to Ars en Re or 30mins to La Flotte.
We stayed for a couple of nights in a campervan at the end of August.Location of the campsite is great for the beach, cycle path and close to restaurants and shops. It was really windy when we visited not sure if this is normal for this site or not as it is right on the coast and the edge of IL de Rae. The beach nearby was super windy so not that useable. Some pitches are better for shelter in the wind than others so consider this when choosing a pitch. We cycled around the coast line and through the salt marches which was lovely.Bread and croissants are baked on site for collection in the morning - they also sell coffee and have tables to sit in this area. The toilets and showers were plenty for the size of the site and clean.
