Latest reviews for CAMPING SANDAYA SÉQUOIA PARC
Lovely stay, great campsite in an interesting area.Minuses:Need to move the gym away from the wellness area as you are not even allowed to talk to people as it is deemed too loud for the people receiving treatments. Or you get told off for the equipment making louder noises. You need to be more specific on your website when offering choosing pitch option- I paid to be placed next to our friends but was not, as they did not pay. If this is the case and you require 2 parties to make that payment, this should be made clear on the website so I would have saved myself 30 euros.
Several members of our trip got upset stomachs but this was ignored. There families not eating together got sick, TWICE, every time after visiting the pool, which the manager told us doesn't require so much chemicals.I've stayed in another sandaya place before, but this one despite looking more luxurious is a much worse experience. For starters, we were told that trunks are not allowed at the pool, so we had to buy swimming garments for 4 times the price (Sunday, so no shops around). We were told that this is because of contamination, but I have not seen anyone taking a shower before entering the pool."Heated" external pools are about 16-18 degrees, so everyone sits inside. Pools are dangerous without any fall protection from the jacuzzi (about 2 metres fall from the open pool) and the abrasive pebble floor requires swimming shoes. There are several concrete structures sticking out from the floor that can crack your head off you slip and the only indoor slide makes kids bump their bottoms on the pebble floor. The steps from the jacuzzi for damaged, but staff didn't even bother to secure the area.Overall approach to safety is very relaxed here.We didn't know that the second part of the sliding doors were moveable (no handle and no keyhole) but as we found it was unlocked and I had to use a lot of force to lock it. Locking the main door was also difficult. There are street lamps but none was on when we stayed which was concerning considering our houses were next to a woodland area.
We have stayed at the camping at St.Just on several occasions and always thought how well the park was kept, but this time the park was very badly maintained,We do understand it has been difficult with the weather conditions but most of the pitches the grass had not been cut for a while hedges not trimmed, trees overhanging the roads not good for camping cars or caravans. The staff were all very pleasant as usual,we reserved for 3 nights but left after only 2 because of the state of the park.Hopefully things will be better the next time we come to stay.John & Judith Stephens
We were camping. Facilities were really good - well thought out and cleaned regularly. Reception staff were helpful too. Would highly recommend.
Excellent campsite, great facilities. We had our little dog with and was great for her too. Spotlessly clean, lovely restaurant, shop, bar. Onsite entertainment fun for everyone. Highly recommend.
