Beautiful for motorcycles. Friendly staff. Good wifi near the reception. Nice pool. 15km from restaurants and shops but nice countryside. Pheasant shooting at night along with the frogs bring earphones.
This campsite is in the middle of nowhere! Campsite was 20 minutes off road, on dirt tracks, which was a living nightmare with a caravan on the back. We arrived and we’re treated to unfriendly staff and a generally poor reception. One star goes to the pool, which was basic, but plentiful. Pitches weren’t large, but there was water available on pitch. This did chase us to have a large amount of mosquitoes, which quickly became annoying. Toilets weren’t clean and took days to be sorted. There was a small snack area where you could get chips. There are things to do in the area, but I seriously would not recommend this site to anyone. The combination on the remote location, super unfriendly staff, and lack of any facilities, really let to a disappointing experience. Glad to say we’ve become better at choosing our campsites.
Great private pitches with own water and waste facility. High hedges making pitches very private. Pools were fantastic! Large and empty as only 1 other van being there. As slightly out of season no bar or restaurant open. Small facilities, dated and could do with a good deep clean. Had to step into shower to close door!Very isolated so car would be useful. We went on our bikes for bread and cakes but was a long ride down roads through vineyards. We enjoyed it though. Only stayed 2 nights to cool off during heatwave!
We've nicknamed this place Fawlty Towers... Very much fallen grandeur, old toilet block and all looks a bit tired. Pitches vary in size but have water, electricity and chem toilet point. A very nice pool area with a selection of pools although no sun-loungers. We tried to do some laundry but it turned out the machine was broken but no sign to tell us; and noone had told reception who sold us the token to do our laundry. You can't see or walk to the estuary; it's located in the middle of fields
A very warm welcome, a very pleasant site
