Latest reviews for CAMPING DE LA GÈRES
It's a small camp site in a great spot. The town is lovely to walk through. We liked the bakery a lot.The camping has all the needed facilities, including swimming pool and playground. Our pitch was a bit too small for a caravan, but there are a few bigger pitches available.Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I found the signs with mandatory and forbidden things all over the place a bit unfriendly (15 rules for the pool!).I would recommend this camping as a pass through camping for 2 or 3 nights.
My wife and I stayed in June 2023 and had a great time. The owners Natalie and Pascal were very helpful. The site was clean and well equipped. Pascal's pizza was wonderful. Swimming pool was a bonus. Will be going back! The eau du Pelforth was wonderful!!
The owners are very welcoming and the facilities have almost everything you'd expect. No toilet paper though which is a bit odd. The bar closes at midnight and apparently there is no curfew on noise after this. Adults and children alike shouting/laughing/partying into the early morning made the stay pretty unenjoyable. If the gate wasn't locked I would have left to go somewhere else.
Sanitaires excellent. Pitch was hard standing with dry grass and no privacy. Electric didn't work for us, was fine for others though. Small pool. Friendly owners until issue with electric
Not their fault, but pitchup sold me a pitch that didn't exist. The lady on reception was not overly concerned that we'd travelled for four hours to get there.
