Very good Camping Site with Pool and good facilities. The prices for Drinks are a bit high, so we have to use the supermarket near by. The bear by village is also great to watch.
Lovely campsite, clean and warm shower/toilet facilities. 3 minutes walk into the town where there is a few cafe and restaurants. A visit to Breton Creperie is not to be missed.Good size swimming pool around 4ft in depth.
Ideally situated for visiting the town. We had a great stay with our camping car! Well thought out facilities and very clean showers and toilets. The pool was also warm especially for May.
This is a beautiful campsite in a stunning location. If you’re lucky enough to book a riverside pitch you have unspoilt views of the river and access for paddling. If you book a riverside pitch, make sure to ask for a pitch between 80-111 as the others are not really riverside. However all pitches were large and flat. The facilities are also quite modern and clean. The staff are friendly and the pools were warm and well maintained. I’d definitely return.
Pros and cons of this venue.Pros: Its a stunning location on the banks of the Dordogne river, only minutes walk from Beaulieu centre with some nice restaurants bars and shops available. The campsite was quiet, but because it was only half full at most. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Pool was nice with good facilities for kids too. Riverside pitches are the best for views.Cons: The poolside bar and restaurant were closed the whole week, despite being a public holiday week in June. Half the shower facilities were also closed meaning a long walk for a shower. Showers offered 20 seconds of run time per press which was very frustrating. Fishermen on the river seem happy to stroll right up the bank and through your pitch, so privacy isn't great. North end of the campsite is incredibly noisy due to the roar of the giant weir across the river to the point even normal conversation is not easy.Overall I am not sure it earned the very premium price tag.
