Latest reviews for CAMPING LES AUBAZINES
We couldn't use the washing up room because it stank so badly. Mould? Never stayed at a campsite with such bad facilities. Everything needs a clean. It's a very hilly site so not great at all if you have any difficulties walking. The man on reception was nice. The walk down to the lake, the swim and the sunbathe on the beach was amazing. The swimming pool is separate from the campsite and has to be paid for. €4 per person. Many screaming children there so not something we could have enjoyed. There's a notice on the campsite reception door that once the receipt is issued there's no refund. We only paid one night TG. Wouldn't recommend.
Not a great campsite. Expensive! you have to pay for use of the swimming pool (ehich is a seperate complex) even if you don't want to use it & don't take the wristband. Toilets & showers not very clean as in high summer have lots of use & only cleaned first thing in the mornings. Views from pitches are great.
We loved our stay here. We swam in the lake, ate at the Belle Histoire, found some good walks with our 2 dogs. Our pitch was nice and shaded. Would love to come back one day. We had only booked for 2 nights but liked it so much we stayed for an extra day!
A nice looking swimmingpool, reasonably priced but of course terribly outmarketed by the nice beach next door that gives access to the lovely lake with guarded area for swimming. We lost a floating Toucan there to the current, but had it delivered back by a vigilant jetski'er.
It's a great camp site with decent WiFi, especially for a campsite. It has a great view on the lake and there is a beach about a 5min walk away. Members of the campsite also get free acces to a swim paradise which is right outside the camp site. If you are too lazy to walk to the beach, there is a doc right below the site which depending on your spot is about 1-3 minutes away. There is also a town called Bort les Orgues close by the camp site which is easily accessible with a car (about a 6 minute drive). There you can find lots of restaurants, bars, small boutiques and a Carrefour (a big french supermarket).Overall a great campsite and I highly recommend it. It's also in the auvergne which is an absolutely stunning old volcanic area!
