CAMPING LE LIDON

A gorgeous, warm, friendly and relaxed campsite almost taking one away the outside world.Service is friendly and personable, especially when hiring canoes and bikes.There are some lovely water routes from the campsite to paddle from and also some safe, off the main- road, tracks for cycling to nearby towns.The pool and toilets etc are all good. Can only recommend this campsite!

Really a lovely no frills camping, the location is very nice and quiet, everything is cared for, the environment, the site in general, the pool and the restaurant.Done with much care, love and taste.Large pitches and optionally with shade.I would only like to comment that the showers and bathrooms could be cleaner.But a lovely place to totally relax.

Very nice, quit and natural camp site. The owners are very friendly, uncomplicated and speak english. Canous are available at the camp. Didier (the owner) gave us a waterchannel map and tips where where we could watch otters (not beavers) in the wildlife of the surrounding channels. Our canoue tour was wonderful with exciting observations of many otters, birds and even a crayfish. We will definitively come back to Camping Le Lidon...

This campsite is lovely if you want to relax in nature. It is in a beautiful area with lots of interesting biodiversity. Didier and his friendly team do all they can to ensure that you have a great time. There are plenty of low key ‘animations’ for adults and kids of all ages. The pool is always clean. The ‘tent lodge’ next to the river was fantastically equipped, private and comfortable. You can hire bikes and boats directly from the campsite (at reasonable cost).

This is a lovely campsite, cool and shady with excellent facilities. It's close to a village (5 min drive) for groceries and also has good road links to La Rochelle etc for exploring. Didier and the team are extremely helpful - we had technical problems with our campervan while we were there and they could not have been more helpful. They turned what could have been a disaster into a wonderful stay. And, when you go and stay, ensure you give a donation to the Marais Poitevin nature reserve (you can do it online) to help protect this special place for wildlife and future generations.
