CAMPING BRANTÔME PEYRELEVADE

We took our rental motor home and had the best pitch by the beach and river, the staff are fantastic, accommodating and David and his wife who own the site are lovely people who can’t do enough for you, the dogs were very welcome and all the other campers around welcomed us. The village is beautiful and a prime example of what France is, we have been here several times and is the only campsite we would come back to definitely a 10 star review in our opinion, lots for the kids to do and adults to relax! Good campsite. Stayed a few nights during a wet, cool spell in September. Helpful staff, we were able to choose our campervan pitch as site not full this time of year. Some pitches shaded by tall trees, we chose a more open site. V clean facilities, cleaned twice daily. Includes a couple of large shower and washbasin cubicles as well as standard ones. Washing machines work well. Cafe closed but pool still open. A popular site, and best of the 4 sites we've booked with ACSI so far this trip.

Beautiful place, nearby lovely city.Very good location to walk, kajak, swim in the river, bicycle, 2 supermarkets (Carrefour and Aldi), wasmachines, the history, dining, exhibitions.Very nice staff who speaks very good English and French ;)You can order bread for the next day.You can play tennis via via.There's a swimming pool for adults and one for the kids with slides (till 5/6 years old).The vehicules are driving slow. Kids are gentle to each other and there's only the sound of the river which you hear the whole night, from 22 pm.No disco.The pitches are good and big enough.We are happy we've found this place.

Lovely riverside campsite just outside Brantôme. Easily walkable or cycleable into the small historic town.

A large campsite with two pools, heated indoor and outdoor. Large pitches most had shade and had hedges for separation and some riverside. There was a little sandy beach with deck chairs, a nice little touch. The campsite had water issues during our week’s stay with the older, larger shower block being closed at times and pitch side taps turned off. Two washing machines. Great hot showers but the hot water for washing up took a good ten minutes unless you ran three taps at once. The maintenance team were working most of the time on plumbing issues or general ground maintenance. The smaller third shower block was closed except for one toilet, this part of the site was in a more secluded area although closer to the road. Site is next to tennis courts and stadium. Great location for visiting Brantome, Friday market is good.
