Latest reviews for CAMPING LES JARDINS DE L'ABBAYE
Les Jardins de l’Abbaye is not really a garden, but a campground on a grassy terraced hillside with trees. Helpful staff checked me in and gave a cyclist discount. Oddly few people seemed to be staying here and the many little rental houses looked empty. The swimming pool looked to be in operation, but I didn’t see anyone using it. An on-side restaurant was closed. The bathrooms were fine, though a bit of a walk from where I pitched my tent. I recommend this campground as a pleasant place very close to the center of Cadouin. The unusual wooden clocktower of the church next to the abbey had loud bells to ring out the time, but fortunately they ceased during the night. The abbey is well worth a visit for its beauty; an audio guide or printed description is provided to understand the history and artistry.
Lovely little campsite with sweet little mobile homes (if you're so over camping in a tent!) in a really delightful spot in Cadouin. The couple that run it are lovely - very friendly and helpful, speak English and put up with our mangled French with amusement and grace. This really is a stunning area of France and just 40 minutes away from Bergerac airport - if you're looking for a budget way to spend time in this beautiful area, as we were, you can't go far wrong with this campsite.
A small lovely site, close to the village, the new owner very helpful and friendly
Simple but very pleasant campsite a stone's throw from the village center. The sanitary facilities are old but very, very clean. The welcome is excellent. Calm and nature assured. A nice walk from the campsite as a bonus.
A campsite just the way we like it. Quiet, shady, great manager, swimming pool and no hassle. We want to stay there.
