Latest reviews for CAMPING LE ROCHER DE LA CAVE
Fantastic campsite! Stayed as a family in our motorhome on a great pitch set amongst the trees and right next to a large beach and the river. All the pitches looked good. Very friendly and helpful staff who work hard to keep everything clean and well run. Canoe hire from the site is great. Good bar/restaurant and new washrooms. Great cycle network a few hundred meters away meaning we could explore the area without driving. Highly recommend this site.
Great location for the river but cramped and just too busy for the amount of space. Not enough electric points so had to ask staff to help sort splitters. Down by the beach and in the river was great and the facilties are decent quality. But just too many people. It was a relief to get away on the bikes for the evening and leave after two days.
Beautiful riverside location with direct access to a lovely pebble beach, Great for swimming etc. Also a good sized pool. There is a cyclepath on a disused railway line a few hundred meters away that goes most of the way into Sarlat (flat, approx 10k) - a stunning town, or most of the way to Soulliac the other way. Walking distance from a Water Garden and Canoe hire location. Fairly easy to cycle to places like Le Roque-Gageac - a bit harder for Domme! Pitch was an excellent size with plenty of shade. Facilities were clean, staff friendly and helpful. A 3 star site that punches above it's weight.
A very nice camp close to the river the Dordogne. Lots of activities for the kids and adults. They have a swimming pool too. There's a restaurant and bar. Good food though I didn't eat there more often. Staff are helpful eventhough some don't speak English. It's a beautiful surrounding with nice landscape and old villages in the surrounding. My son totally loved the swims in the river.
Wonderful campsite , lovely atmosphere . Beautiful location by the river , with a great pebble beach to swim from . Loved the walks and cycling from here to the surrounding villages. Hope to return .Very helpful staff .
