Latest reviews for CAMPING LE PECH CHARMANT
A lovely peaceful campsite in the heart of the Dordogne. Easy walking right from the site and a perfect location from which to explore this wonderful area.Better still was the welcome and friendliness of all the staff - it really felt like we were part of the family here! Will definitely be staying here again!
This campsite is not so nice as you would expect, i think they have fake reviews or paid reviews in trade for discounts. The campsite owner is a really stressed out type and is not so nice to it's customers, we saw him being rude to several customers. Also the music is very loud till late in the evening. The staff is really nice but you can see they are afraid of their boss. For us this campsite is not worth the money.
We stayed here in our campervan for 6 nights in May and although it rained a bit the campsite is fantastic. It's independent and the owners are brilliant and can't do enough for you. There's a restaurant on site which is very good and well worth a visit.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Camping Le Pech Charmant (June 2023). It is nicely located with a lot of activities in the area. The camping has a natural look and feel, being located in a forest. The camping hosts numerous animals (goats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, porks) as well which our kids enjoyed. The owners are kind and helpful. Very good restaurant (chef Edgar) as well, offering an excellent 3 course menu next to pizzas etc. Our 3-bedroom mobile home was slightly outdated compared to today's standards, but that was also reflected in a friendly price. All in all very much recommended.
Lucéa et Guillaume are doing a wonderful job at keeping it personal and creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff was so kind and helpful. Super team. Our kids (3 and 5) had a wonderful time. Loved the atmosphere around the swimming pool in the afternoon, being able to have a nice cool drink lying next to the pool. Now at another campsite 13 min further on with so many rules, no personal touch. We just want to go back! Our mobile home could use an update but that didn't spoil our stay because the campsite was organised in such a lovely way. One note for improvement, I would move the compost next to the reception far away from that spot.
