We have camped here numerous times, with tent and motorbike , RV and recently our motorhome . (Hardstanding available).The site is situated outside of town , but is easy to walk to, albeit uphill!The people who run the site are very friendly and helpful. They are very caring on the tidiness of the washrooms and toilets. The greenspace also is very well kept and it feels we are in a country park, with the river running around the site.It is breaking into spring at the moment , so not the busy time, so the bar was not open, but it is nice to find a site open all year.If you enjoy walking, this is the place to go, as many footpaths. The town is very interesting with lots of old original buildings. Some sadly in desperate need of renovation. However, some are being given a new lease of life.Looking down from one of the bridges going into the town , you see the rooftops of the old houses. It reminded us of something from an age of centuries ago.We will definitely be visiting the campsite again.Thank you to everyone who takes care of this site.

A wonderful experience in a lovely setting. The breakfast was wonderful and an extremely sincere welcome. The owner recognised my husband from a visit 4 years ago.

Beautiful place, “But” the smells from the sewage works beside the camping is overwhelming, so sorry to say that we will never be back, I do not recommend it to anyone.
