CAMPING LA FORET

I've read some of the reviews left for La Foret and to be honest they seem rather harsh. Please bear in mind that my review is based on a visit in the middle of June, considered to be out of season...I was met by Sylvie who seemed fairly friendly. Once the paperwork and payment was made, she showed me the camping area for tents. She had ensured I was aware of the rules, such as shoes off in the shower block and that I was happy with the chosen location. After that, I was left to setup.I was surprised by the cleanliness of the shower block. A really good layout, nice showers and large sinks. There was also an ironing board and a washing machine.The swimming pool had only just opened and again, appeared to be well looked after. The bar (buvette) was not open (out of season) but from what I could see, it looked rather nice.I had a little trouble with accessing WIFI but after speaking to Daniel I was up and running - he was more than happy to help.The views were beautiful, the landscape is typical of the Dordogne and worth visiting just to see them.All in all, a great place to visit and spend some time at. For camping, it could be said that the €12.70 I paid was rather high but the facilities were excellent and the owners were very friendly.I would love to visit this place in season!

We had a great week at the campsite. The campsite is very quiet with lots of space. The toilets are very clean! The swimming pool was very pleasant at the end of the day, without it being crowded with people. We appreciated the welcome from the owners. In short, a great address that we keep on hand

Very quiet and relaxing campsite. The welcoming owners. The bungalow is, however, from the period! The spring mattresses are horrible, my teenager could barely turn around because he was so small, even he had back pain. Afterwards it is old but in good condition and clean except that the openings in the ceiling let debris from the trees into the shower...and there is just a parasol on the terrace in the sun. The campsite is well maintained and spaced out.

Very quiet campsite and pleasant swimming pool.Lots of downsides (reception always closed and even when it is open, no one answers the phone). No entertainment since our arrival except a famous disco evening which was more than NULLAn emergency exit not very far away where all the people on the campsite pass with their dogs, rather unpleasant, like a little boxer who barks day and night.In addition, the living room sofa is not at all comfortable, you have to put the mattress on the floor for minimum comfort.I cannot respond to your comment.Plus you are a liar we paid for 4 adults and two children, I have the invoice in front of meFor both vehicles you were aware and you took us to the mobile home

Very pleasant, quiet campsite where we spent our vacation this summer. The managers are available and friendly. Our well-appointed and comfortable mobile home, too bad the heat and mosquitoes were a bit annoying. Tree-lined campsite, with pitches for tents, caravans, chalets, mobile homes, etc. The services are varied and enjoyable (outdoor swimming pool, bar, bread delivery, take-away pizzas, entertainment, games for children, etc.). The sanitary facilities and landscaped exteriors are clean, equipped and well maintained.
