This site is really well located in the shore of the ocean. The owners have given in to greed though and crammed far, far too many pitches onto the site which makes it claustrophobic for most. However, the pool area is lovely and safe for families and the beach front restaurant / wine bar is excellent in both quality and value for money.Small supermarket is well stocked and prices are reasonable but there’s a large Carrefour only 2 miles away for food and essentials. The beach itself is glorious; fun for families and body boarders but I’m surprised that there’s no separate area for surfers.

The positives - the location is great. Right on the breach with beautiful views and direct access. The site has a relaxed vibe and is in a easy cycling distance of the nearby town. The negatives- we were camping- the pitches are really small. They've clearly tried to ram as many in as possible- whilst this might sound predictable the other Sandaya sites we stayed at have been much better. Looking at some of the pitches you would be very disappointed if you'd gone all that way- some are tiny with no privacy at all.Our pitch was quite a good size, but clearly on what used to be a traffic roundabout with roads/tracks circling the pitch. The electric hookup was about 50m away, which lead to an interesting debate with reception who ultimately did resolve it with the load of a long extension cable (ours was only 20m!).By far the biggest issue was the toilet blocks. They weren't cleaned enough and absolutely stank. The toilets were mixed sex, but the male urinals blocked and flooded which resulted in all toilets being used for everyone. Shouldn't be a massive problem but does lead to the inevitable urine over the toilet seats (I'm assuming that's boys at night who can't aim). The toilet roll dispensers weren't big enough either, so would often run out over night. The met result was by the morning you have to try a find a toilet with roll that isn't covered in urine.Showers were a mixed bag. Typically they would produce hot water but it could take a few minutes to come through and typically the blue/red markers don't have any correlation to hot/cold water. Be prepared to spend a long time tying to get a warm shower.Overall though it was ok, if really for the beach access. Disappointing for a sandaya though. I'd certainly be upset at some of the pitches.

Some (ours…..) rentals are really out-dated. Old, a bit dirty, cabinets are not closing fully, Bedsheets had very distinct spots on it, old cheap chairs, stains on table , floor, kitchen etc. And that for 1700 euro per week……wauw it really feels like a rip-off……. Would not recommend!

Really great site. Good location, quiet, but fairly near to local towns. It's right on the beach, which is amazing - stretches for miles and great waves for surfing and body boarding. Facilities on the site are really good - very decent shop, snack bar, beach side bar and restaurant. And pool area is really spacious, can get busy but doesn't feel overcrowdedSome lookouts, our caravan was a little dated (but clean and comfortable). It is a large site so you definitely get your steps in! And the tide can come right up, so depending on tide times the beach disappears (but this tends to be best surfing conditions). But when the tide is out the beach is huge (big enough for a game of cricket or football!)Would definitely recommend though
