CAMPING MUSSONVILLE

Okish site for touring, BUT there is NO water filling or grey water emptying point on the entire site. We stayed with the motorhome for 5 days and had to fill up with bottled water. 6A power supply tripped a few times (no kettle and hairdryer at the same time possible), but we could reset the fuse ourselves (fusebox accessible). All gender toilets without toilet seats or urinals, so urin all over the loos as they are too low to aim properly. No toilet paper or hooks. Showers are very dated and not clean. On the second day, the mop disappeared from the shower block, and it started to look even dirtier. Water temperature is unpredictable, either boiling or freezing. The same goes for washing up sinks. They are very good size, but sometimes, the water is too hot. One of the sinks had a leak, so the floor in the washing up area was constantly wet.The location is good - 15 min walk to town and 20 to the dog friendly beach. The touring pitches are decent size with good grass coverage, separated by well maintained hedges, but there aren't many of them as the focus of the site is clearly on mobile homes. Abundant wildlife - had hedgehogs visiting every night and a toad.We didn't use the restaurant (it looked empty and closed early) or any kids' facilities. Laundry facilities are adequate for a campsite.

Very family campsite with very welcoming owners. Incomprehension for my part of the negative comments, if the tenants of the campsite were more respectful towards the common areas it would be much more pleasant. But the owners can't do anything about people's lack of know-how. Thanks again for this great location. We will come back with pleasure
