Latest reviews for CAMPING LA POINTE DU MEDOC
Not as described. We booked as the pictures show it next to the beach which it isn't, you need to drive to the nice beach. The pitches aren't very big. We only just fit on and our neighbours don't fit either so it is tight getting in and out.The facilities are all very old and dated, toilets need more regular cleaning asit smells and often out of toilet paper. Showers need replacing, most are weak and temperature is either too hot or too cold. The whole facility block needs replacing, however ours is better than the original 1.It's very noisy on an evening so if you want a quiet evening I would avoid. Teenagers just walk past constantly playing loud music and dancing!!Also pitch is right next to the main road and train track so lots of noise from that all time of day and night. As the train hooks loudly when passing.Pool is too small for the amount of people, as in indoor and outdoor is rammed full so no room to move at all let alone swim! Not much in the area, great for a beach holiday but nothing else here. Beaches are lovely though but strong currents, better for older children.
I have been in “la Pointe du Médoc” in August 2011 and I rent a mobile home with my wife. It is comfortable and very clean.Aurore, the boss, is very young and has a big ambition for her camping. The staff is very kind and is always ready to help you. You need just to ask.« La pointe du Medoc » is very quit and car circulation is not allowed in the camping after 10:30 pm. Moreover, the area seems to be very secure. You can reach easily the large network of bike roads. If you don’t have a bike, you can rent it from the camping.Beaches from the Atlantic side and the Gironde side are wonderful. Of course, if you prefer, you can stay at the camping and enjoy the covered and non cevered swimming pools, the restaurant... There is even a small supermarket/bakery.It is a lovely camping.
Good sized shaded plot, power and water, lots for kids to do, clean facilities, staff speak English better than my french
Nice site, large pitches for touring. Facilities could have been cleaned more regularly and thoroughly and pool water was very murky.
Clean comfortable, friendly and obliging staff, lovely pools. Great place to stay with children and pets!
