Little paradise. A very warm welcome by a dutch couple that speaks dutch, french and english. If you are looking for peace and quiet for yourself and possibilities for your children to play, this is the place to be! A playground, with sand and a small natural lake for swimming. Also nice areas indoor in case of rainy days. The atmosphere, campground and people are absolutely lovely.
What an absolute top spot this is!I have even wondered if I wanted to write a review about this site because this is one of those places that you would rather keep secret for the rest of the world☺. The campsite is an oasis of peace (where at the same time there is a fun activity) with very spacious places and a fantastic lake that is fed by a natural source. The children (4, 8 and 9) have spent hours together with their friends on the lake by catching as many salamanders as possible or just playing and swimming. The (new) owners of the campsite ensure that everyone immediately feels welcome. There is a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and there is always time for a chat or a drink on the terrace with other campers. In the evening campers often make a campfire together and the marshmallows and a guitar come out.Michel and Laura thanks again!
A wonderful campsite for families with children up to about 12 years old. There are many children. The sites are spacious and wonderfully shady by French standards. Dog friendly.Which is both an advantage and a disadvantage: you are very remote. We love that, by the way. But you can easily spend an hour in the car if you want to go somewhere.Furthermore, a very beautiful and green environment.Nearby tip: picnic on Mont Gargan, beautiful view.A nice U supermarket about 10 km away in Chateauneuf-la-Foret.
A highlight in the Haute-Vienne. Many families with children, spacious sites with generally sufficient shade. The area is beautiful but a bit boring for activities, there are not many in the area. The swimming lake at the campsite is very nice. Nice atmosphere, compliments to Carel and his crew!
We had a nice spot at this campsite. At the field where we saw the sunset in the evening and marveled at the beautiful starry sky.The arrival was very nice. You get something to drink/ice cream and a tour. You choose a spot together. The campsite is fine. The food at the extension table is really good. Nice play lake and the ambiance of the campsite is beautiful. However, we found it very messy. Especially on the terrace. The concept is smart (you can serve yourself and then you take the cake), but the tables were not always clean and there were often empty glasses and cans. This did not invite you to sit there. The playground equipment is mainly aimed at young children. The trampoline and ping pong table were what was available for older children. Our daughters aged 8, 10 and almost 12 had a great time, but they missed this.We became a bit restless because of the environment. Everything is a long drive away. Partly because of this we left earlier. We like to do all kinds of things in combination with relaxation and now you quickly spent two hours in the car for an activity. Do you especially need a nice campsite with many young children where you can finally finish your books? Then do it!
