Latest reviews for TOHAPI AURILANDES
We had a 3-bed mobile home that was well equipped and laid out. The pool was nice. The onsite food was OK. The grounds were relatively quiet and peaceful while we were there. Some of the other reviews mentioned mobile homes being dirty/filled with cobwebs. I do have to say that ours wasn't dirty per se, but there were definitely cobwebs, and it was obvious the blankets had not been washed since the previous guests. It's a bit disheartening considering the hygiene standards that *should* be in place right now. That was the biggest disappointment of the trip, but otherwise, we don't regret booking here for an inexpensive family holiday. It is possible to use the facilities at the Eurolac site, but to be honest, we weren't impressed. There are more pool areas, but they were overcrowded in comparison and repairs need to be made.
Good thing it had a vacancy in high season. The reception was helpful. But toilets without a toilet seat or toilet paper should no longer exist in modern times - even on a campsite in France. WiFi only with surcharge and rather simple connection.
Nice campsite. Food was ok at "chez Robert" the lake nearby is a plus, and multiple play areas for kids. And the pool was nice too. Our mobile home was spacious and accomodating. Good location with just a short drive to Mimizan and the beach there.
After 3 stays at this campsite in 2015, 16 and 17, I'm sorry to say we won't be going back. The on-site restaurant has gone from good to awful, the shop is literally 3 times more expensive than the local supermarket and there is no longer a curfew on noise or cars driving around the site after 10pm. On top of this, the staff were unable to give us the pitches we'd been promised in our booking, despite us paying extra and despite one of the pitches remaining empty for the duration of our stay. Half the toilets were closed with no explanation and those left open were not cleaned regularly. I'd recommend you look at one of the many other campsites in the area.
Clean and spacious. Relatively quiet and excellent service.
