Latest reviews for RESORT & SPA LA RIVE
Facilities and location to the lake beach were very good. Shop, restaurants and bar are expensive but that is to be expected for campsites. I would recommend having a car as the location is quite rural. Overall a great experience and pool area is well suited to all ages.
I have been camping in France for 12 years and this site is of a higher standard then the rest. The cabin was so clean and so was the pool areas. Everything about La Rive was perfect. But the best part for me was the restaurant and their head chef Leo Or The(tall guy with a black beard). His menu was superb and the service was fantastic. I have worked some top class kitchens in my time as a chef and his food was top class. Sincerely Nick CarolanGalway, Ireland 🇮🇪
Went with Eurocamp/Homair. Usual issue with cleanliness on arrival. Cabins are all very close together (even the campsite ones)Site it's self is class. Lake is beautiful and was warm enough to spend hours in. Pools are in good condition and loads to do for pre-teens. Not so much for teens
We were there the start of June so very quiet for the first half of our stay but got busy at the end. Great waterpark for kids of most ages, maybe not the older kids. The beach is really nice and sandy. Very safe for all as not so deep. Entertainment was quite poor, very little for kids and nothing for adults. Nothing on most days. Accommodation was with Ciela Village and was very clean, modern and a very we'll equipped kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful. The entire site was very clean and bug free which was nice.We had a car and took some trips to the Zoo and some local towns which were really nice, would recommend this. Some not so good points, you have no dishcloth and bath towels on arrival, you must rent towels. 1 toilet roll, a sachet of washing up liquid and a mini sponge are provided in your accommodation on arrival. I had to hire an Iron as no facilities were offered. It's with a different company and Ciela Village said they have no dealings with any rentals (even though they're onsite) so be aware of this. It's extremely quiet in the evenings, the only bar closes early and you can't talk while on your cabin decking area, we were hushed several times by security even though we were just talking, maybe a laugh here and there. We were a little loud once but when we were aware after 11pm you can't be too loud we were a lot quieter but still security hushed us. There's nothing for adults so at least a chat and laugh on your decking should be allowed. The restaurant had the same food for lunch and dinner so no great options and the food wasn't too good. The tapas was fine but again limited options and same menu all day.I didn't see any breakfast options. The trucks and take away options are convenient for a change but more restaurant options or a different menu would be nice.Overall if you want to entertain the kids in the waterpark, have limited food options, have no entertainment for adults and go to bed at 10pm this will suit you and your family. We were there as 7 adults and 4 kids and we all more or less feel the same.
Visited as a family of 5 having visited other campsites if this group. We felt it was overpriced for food and drink. The accommodation was quite close to the point you could hear neighbours hot tub humming all night, if your a light sleeper take ear plugs! If eating there was a lack of toilets near bar/restaurant and they are also the pool ones (not the cleanest by end of day).It is very much in the middle of no where. There is a Lidl 10mins down the road where we stocked up for the week.
