Latest reviews for CAMPING L'ARBRE D'OR
Good size pitches and modern clean facilities. Bar and small shop onsite with very friendly staff.
Recepción was good. General stay at the campsite was good. But shower block looks a little bit tired. As this is not our first visit to the campsite we have noticed an increasing number of mobile homes and also not happy about the lack of free WiFi but this is seems to be the norm in France.
Not really a site for motorhomes. Grey water emptied in to chemical toilet disposal tank. No way of filling up with fresh water. Was told to use hose used to rinse toilet cassettes to load fresh water. Uneven distributions of electrical connections and access to pitches severely limited by the trees.Lake is only minutes away by foot. Local supermarket about a 5min bike ride or a 20min walk. Wifi was expensive.
We booked much further south near the border with Spain but due to covid 19 had to change our plans. This site was great. Friendly, clean and well run. Our pitch was huge (room for a caravan, full sized awning, table and chairs outside said awning plus parking for a 4x4). The shower blocks are open air, which is perfect given everything that is going on, very clean and modern. The pool was very well looked after and they stuck to french pandemic guidelines by and large. Highly recommended and the bar has Grimbergen on tap!
Very tidy well organised Campsite.Decent pitches for Mhomes in sun or shade. Helpful staff, plenty of cabins but its a good mix. Takes acsi cards.5 minute walk to beaches on a beautiful lake. Would like to have had better access to a fresh water tap.
