CAMPING CARRIQUE

After 7 weeks touring France in campervan, this has to be one of the best sites we've stayed at. Toilets & showers are spotless (separate male/female). Great area for dish washing, use of washing machine for clothing, extra large fridge for camper's use. All grass sites, large pitches & tree cover, well tended & marked out to avoid demarcation & embarrassment of those who put out everything including the kitchen sink! We'll be back for sure. Be sure to visit Saturday morning market at Mauléon-licharre approx 15 min drive, turn left once in town & drive straight on, well worth the visit.

Very good camping ground, well shaded, nice bread service and big areas.However it is not on a farm or near a farm so that was a bit disappointing. We came there to see farm animals but there aren’t any nearby.

We’ve been in France camping in our van for nearly 2 months and this has to be one of the best (if not the best) place and the best value in terms of price we’ve stayed at. It’s beautiful, peaceful, has huge flat grassy pitches with gorgeous views, fab modern bathrooms and really good hot showers, ample washing up and laundry areas, a huge fridge for campers use, fab bread and pastry service, good electricity connections, a large playground if you have children. It’s also across the road from an easily accessed shallow and shady river and has several hiking trails you walk to easily from the campsite, which our dog loved. The owner is also very nice and friendly despite my not so good French ! Just brilliant....

A beautiful site that we will definitely go back to. The scenery is stunning and not far from town. The facilities are lovely too modern and very clean and the shower was perfect.
