Latest reviews for CAMPING IBARRON
Staff friendly and welcoming. Level & spacious pitch. Warm clean showers. Good location in the Basque country.. Saint Pée is a hidden gem. Great cycle path to Saint Jean de Luz from Ascain. I would definitely return to this site.
We canceled our reservation because my mother in law suddenly died. They didn't even respond on the email which we send on June 20 at 6:54 PM. The right thing to do was to contact us and refund the amount we paid. The only mail we have got was a mail to review our stay. It is a real shame😒
The reaction you gave under this message is a standard answer and has nothing to do with our cancelation. We have send you an e-mail on the 20th of june at 18.54 and you did not respond. The correct thing to do was to get in contact with us and pay back the amount we have paid. : We cancelled because my mother died. They did not even respond or return our money. So shame on you Ibarron.
A good campsite for a price. I'd certainly return. Facilities were clean enough, no issues with showers/toilets etc. apart from lack of soap (Coming from the UK I don't understand the lack of handwashing facilities within France and Spain, It's staggering how many places have more toilets than basins and no soap whatsoever). The swimming pool is simple and not particularly large but adequate for the size of the site. Which I might add was a benefit to us, it wasn't too big! We parked a 5.9m high top van on a camping pitch with an awning, it was a bit of a squeeze however we only booked a couple of days in advance and didn't have the largest of the pitches.Huge bonus - it's literally across the road from a large supermarket. The children's playground kept my two kids (3 & 5 at the time of writing) entertained for a while, it's maintained well. There's a baker that sells every morning on the site.Different food vans are invited to sell on some evenings, this was all clearly advertised. For example: Pizzas, Paella.
This was our second stay at this campsite and it was still well maintained and quiet. When we wanted to go in to Biarritz, the lady at reception was very helpful and suggested a park and ride to the free car park next to Hippodrome des Fleurs. This was about 20-25mins drive and in fact we walked from the car park to Biarritz centre, which took 25 minutes. Her advice about not attempting to park in Biarritz itself was spot on.Unfortunately this time we got the last pitch (19 I think) which we wouldn't recommend as it was a little less quiet; it was opposite the children's play area and pool, as it was outside the car barrier, there were cars moving around at midnight. Next time we will book ahead!
