CAMPING LA REGATE

We stayed at Camping La Régate a few years ago and have fond memories. The staff were friendly, despite our broken French. The shaded pitches were suitable for families, and the beautiful lake just seconds away was a highlight. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.

We were really glad to find this lovely campsite - it’s in an idyllic location right beside the beautiful Lac de Montbel !It was almost 40C when we arrived and 4days later it was 22C with drizzle !!Most people were happy with the rain as it had been so hotLovely shaded pitch for our large tent -We had a choice of pitches too and they are large and flatWe went swimming in the lake with our dog on numerous occasionsThe people who run the camping are very relaxedGreat little cafe too by the lake and the nearest village Leran is gorgeous with a couple of decent restaurantsWe ate in Le Dinanga - superb food, glorious location and serviceOnly one downside to camping was the temperature of the water in the toilet facilities - hot when meant to be cold and cold when meant to be hot !!Another plus was the laundry room !Would highly recommend if you enjoy being surrounded by nature

We camped here by bus/van on 30th of July for one night. The reception was closed when we arrived. But as we went to the restaurant we got all informations quickly and a place to stay. It was so easy. We got the Wi-Fi password and the option for payment on next morning cause she was super busy at work in the bar/restaurant. The area is clean and nice. Showers (mixed) are ok and the toilets are too (mixed). The temperatures outside were around 16 degrees by the way. Super pleasant on these hot sweaty summer days ;)The nature is calming, there were no mosquitos and we slept well.

Very nice quite and well equipped campingsite at the lake. A little bit limited offer in the camping shop, but plenty of supermarkets in the surrounding. Good starting point to the land of Cathars.
