Latest reviews for CAMPING PARADIS LA MARMOTTE
A lot of building work going on so a bit noisy in the morning. Lovely location in the valley but a bit far to the town. Sites a bit small and they were quite full so the 3 toilets were a bit of a push although showers were good. Would return for a night if that way again.
Our first visit to camping la marmotte & we are very impressed- the pitched are very well laid out with low hedges between - the toilet blocks are good & the welcome was very good. The ladies speak good English & were very helpful. Lovely walk into Ax les Thermes through a nature park & along beside the river. We will certainly recommend it to anyone.
A mixed bag: Very nice & friendly staff. Location a little far from town, but the walk by the ponds & river is lovely. There's a supermarket & boulangerie directly across the (very busy) road, opposite the entrance. Toilets, showers, etc. not particularly modern or clean, but are functional with plenty of hot water. WiFi only available near reception at hopelessly slow. Nice, mostly shady plots but we faced a bunch of derelict caravans and rusting old fire engine. Nothing here is an absolute deal breaker, but nothing to make us dream of returning either.
They offer a minimum set of toiletteries such as toilet rolls (1/3 of normal), rubbish bag (1), soap (1 very thin slice)I don’t know if it’s a good idea … probably it’s more kind to list up things we need to carry as we forget to bring rubbish bin bag or didn’t carry extra toilet rolls as we expected that there are enough prepared.
Very handy for us. A good well run site with some attractive walks nearby. Reasonable price. Helpful staff.
