Latest reviews for CAMPING SOLEIL D'OC
We asked on entry for an area with a hard standing for our Motorhome and paid 38 euros (rather expensive we thought but great facilities are advertised). Our pitch was wet/ waterlogged. We tried to leave the site but the Motorhome got stuck in the mud! We couldn’t then leave and they refused to reimburse us! We should have taken note of the family leaving as we arrived- they were refunded as they couldn’t stay due to the wet, muddy conditions!Site is poorly maintained with only grass+ mud as pitches. We won’t be returning! Very disappointed.
Don't do it. It's not very nice. Pool is OK and shower block ok, but tent pitch basically dust, bar staff sat around like they're on holiday, my chicken burger was frozen rubbish and cold in middle, toilets in bar no soap no towels.
Nice and quiet campsite with friendly and English speaking staff. Campsite is not too big. Plots are normal size approximately 7x10. Showers have a pushbutton, water is warm. Toilets have no own toilet roll holder, one joint roll in the public area. Chemical toilet is behind the camper service spot, bit hard to find. Bins are outside campsite, about 3 minutes walk. Fresh bread, croissants and pain de chocolate at the shop. Shop has basic food, but in the area there's a big Intermarche. By bike about 30 minutes to Gruissan. Would come here again.
Friendly athmosphere, good service, good location. Also good ahadow for the tent users. Only downside that the cool swimming pond was closed due to some problems, but we are beach people so that was not problem.
Very noisy site. Lots of children charging about on bicycles past 10 o’clock at night, which hasn’t helped with getting our two year old to sleep. One child has spent his entire time at the site (more than 4 days) doing wheelies past our pitch and then skidding on the lose gravel. Entertainment is good. Pool is luxurious. Sanitary facilities are clean, and work. The beach is close by, but take your own shade. Great for snorkelling. Lots of different types of fish to see. Could do with more taps around the site for filling up water. The staff speak good English.
