LE DOMAINE DE LA VITARELLE

We have stayed a week here with 2 families, we had a great time, loved the spacious places, the safari tents, swimming pool, pétanque, ping pong table. Beautiful surroundings, many things to do around the camping. Welness, massage highly recommended. The whole place is very well maintained. Lovely and caring owners, you could ask them anything. Also nice lounge place for a drink and bite.

We found this place when we were looking for something around Carcassonne and we were really stunned by how did it look on pictures (separate wooden houses with a lots of privacy, all equipment inside - kitchen, flushing toilet, shower, big towels, comfortable bed,...). It was a clear thing, that we went there and even though we didn't have much time on our European trip, we decided to spend there two magnificient nights. Owners are really helpful, and very kind. This is a true family place on a very relaxing place with a midsize swimming pool. We loved it!

Lovely piece of nature! Perfect place to get away of your busy life. Enjoying qualitime with your family at the restaurant, home made diner by the owners, with great wine and other bio drinks and ice cream. Big pool and playground for the kids.Our cabin was perfect for 3 adults and one child. We had privacy enough. Our neibours where meters away!We had the best time for a family who had there first time GL(c)amping! A place we will remember and hopefully we come back one time!

It is a nice location, however the cabins are old and falling apart. Ours didnt have a lock so we had to take our belonging everywhere we went. The mirror hasn't hanging on the wall, and we had to move it so the kids would drop it. The cabins wasnt properly isolated so the bugs came in through the wall. The pool was ok but the bar had no shadow unless you went inside (no air conditioning). The fridge was not refulated high enough and there was no thermometer to know what temperature was on. When went to complain about it and that at least they should give a heads up, the blond girl got very upset starting calling me a child and that i just had to know that the fridge should be at full power and that they turn it down when there is no guests. I told them that food posioning is a dangerous thing and that just giving a heads up was not too much to ask. Then another owner went out to join the conversartion and just went "puff". I think they attitude was very defensive and disrespectfull. My worst comment was that food poisoning was trouble for them too.We paid 30 euros for cleaning a small cabin and because we were upset we just put the bedsheets on a pile, we didt not clean our breakfast dishes and didnt broom. The blond girl when she saw it came after my husband saying that the cleaning did not include any of that cleaning. And starting walking after him and saying: "your wife is crazy and get out of my property, you are never welcome again". I also work facing clients and i have never called anyone child, crazy or went histerical on them even though i disagree with them. They even send us an email to make sure we got the message calling us pigs and to never to come back. What i am wondering is why does she think i would come back...

Perfect getaway for a weekend or a longer vacation, with family and friends . The place is heavenly, the area beautiful, authentic and not crowded with tourists. The cabins and tents are spacious, comfortable and quite secluded. Best way to resource ones mind and body.
