CAMPING LE VIEUX VERGER

Discovered this lovely campsite by chance. It's built into the slopes at the end of the village of Connaux. The pitches have all been levelled, so easy access and flat. Some nice views across the plains to the East. The site is run by very friendly owners who also run the bar/restaurant on the site. There are tidy chalets and mobile homes for rent too. The unheated swimming pool is kept clean as are the washrooms etc. There are two courts for boule, a childrens slide and nice seating areas. The bar also offers a flipper machine, a pool billiard table and another tabletop game machine. The owners occasionally have a film evening (French films) and otherwise offer grills, chips, pizzas and other dishes. There's a large screen to watch music films on YouTube etc. but otherwise you can just chill out on the veranda and a good glass of wine. There is a road fairly closeby, and once in a blue moon a motorbike revs past, but it's really not a big issue that occurs often. It's certainly a relaxing place with lots of attractions closeby (great for day trips, e.g. to the cascade of the Ceze river, or bigger towns closeby. The village (easy walking distance) has a couple of bars and restaurants, a butcher, mini-supermarket and a baker. I would definitely reccommend this site to families or anyone who wants a good, inexpensive base to operate from or just to relax.

Discovered by chance on our route, Le Vieux Verger is a superb campsite. Shaded location, establishment suitable for families, very clean sanitary facilities. Brand new and very pleasant swimming pool. The staff are also very warm and friendly. I highly recommend and we will definitely return in the years to come.

Worthless campsite, where all sanitary facilities were closed except for one dirty toilet. Afterwards it turned out that another guest was allowed to use the sanitary facilities of a house, but that was not made clear to me or passed on

Excellent family campsite where life is good surrounded by nature. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The evenings are calm and the nights silent. The pitches are well shaded. If you are looking for a campsite for a family vacation, you have found it.All the best !

Regular customer, I went there on vacation 3 times. Once in a camper van, and twice in rental. Every time in peak season. 2012, 2017 and 2022. What can I say, except that every time we go there it’s a real pleasure.The campsite is quiet, clean, offers evenings every other evening in season, and the swimming pool is very clean. The cicadas only enchant the place, ideally placed in relation to the places to visit. All at a more than affordable price!It's the kind of place where I could see myself living in a mobile home 6 months of the year in my old age!I can only recommend.
