Latest reviews for CAMPING LA CHICANETTE
Quiet green tree lined campsite , very close to the town centre for some shops and even a haircut . Sanitary blocks are clean and lots of hot water. Swimming pool is clean and refreshing with sunbeds . The lady on reception is very friendly and helpful . We took a bus to Nîmes for the day bus stop is close by and easy to use . Thank you
I was camping, by bike, and it was a good stop. But be careful where you pitch your tent as the ants are tiny and even got into my tent (had never happened before)
It’s not always possible to find such green camping site. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. The camping site is easy to find in the center of town. I was alone with a small tent so the place I got was very spacious. Clean showers, toilets and washing area. There is a place for kids to play. A friendly cat came and said hello on arrival. The only problem is not relative to the camping but the town. Since it’s small, businesses close early. So make sure if you arriving late to have food on you.
2 cyclists, stayed one night - perfect cycling camping! They created shade by growing plants over the pitch (see picture), they have bycicle prices, good spots (flat) and warm welcome. One minus point: no toilet seats and no toilet paper in the bathrooms (bring your own;-))
Fantastic campsite. I was due to move to Marseilles tomorrow but I'm going to stay an extra night because I'd rather drive 1h there and back then leave this campsite.Nearly all of the pitches benefit from shade from trees. Some of the pitches have arches of vines growing over them to provide additional shade from the sun (and rain).Toilets and showers are very clean and modern. There is a washing machine that costs 6Euro for up to 9kg. And facility for emptying black water. There are barbecues for campers to use. A petanque pitch. And a great swimming pool with sun loungers. The campsite is right in the middle of a small town with many cafes, restaurants, banks, boulangerie etc within minutes walk. And some bigger shops (Supermarkets, DIY store etc.) on the edge of town. The owners of the campsite are very friendly and kindly spoke English for me - as soon as they realised from my pigeon French that I wasn't a native speaker!
