Latest reviews for CAMPING LAC DES 3 VALLEES
We stayed for 3 nights but wish we stayed longer. The staff were excellent from reception to pool, lake, shop and kiosk. Our pitch was well maintained and we saw staff at least 3 times a day cleaning the toilets and showers. Maintenance crews were always making the areas look better. The pool was fantastic, slides were great fun and there were a lot of sunbeds free around the pool. Lifeguards were always on watch. At the lake the facilities were excellent, from the bouncy castles, and inflatable obstacle course on the like, which everyone loved. Food in the shop, kiosk, pizzeria and restaurant were well priced and great value. Looking forward to booking here again.
Brilliant facilities such as pool, lake sports and inflatables as well as table tennis etc. Friendly staff all around and entertainment pretty good. We usually holiday with either Sandaya or Yelloh and this site missed some 'easy fixes' to make the score higher - for example the mini disco is only 3 nights (in a row) so in our 5 night stay we only had 1 mini disco, no lights in toilets (Sandaya install cheap LED strips) and unbelievably no white wine available at the stage bar.
Pros: Lots to do if you love to walk a Lot and like sport. The evening entertainment is fun. Prices very reasonable for food and drinks. Bar staff super nice. Very good security. Teen club is great. Dogs welcome. Lake areas are super. Cons: Four stars because I expected better as a First time in a 'camping'. If this is 5 stars then I'm not sure if I would manage a 3 or 4 star camping. Too much walking back and forth to lake / or entertainment, if you don't know where your bungalow is in advance. Also lots of steep areas where I don't think someone with a manual wheel chair or limited mobility could manage. The restaurant appears understaffed and end of season means more limited food and drink choices. Limited number of English speakers (the younger seasonal employees) but they try. I speak French so helped translate a few times. Night club is tiny and the bar closes a little after the night club opens (11h30 pm). Probably because the discothèque seems more for younger people (under 18 maybe). Have a bottle of water on you at all times. Pool area is nice but to get to the toilets you have to exit pool area and walk through the outdoor bar area. 'Heated' pool means cold / chilly (24 to 26 degrees celcius more or less). The lake was warmer. Arrival at 5pm earliest and have to leave by 10am. Not much information about whats included to clean up at end of stay so we paid 95 euros to have it cleaned for us. They do have cleaning supplies by the way in the bungalows. Lots of bungalows were really close together and the walls are thin. Ours was more secluded and calm but Very far and uphill. If you are staying near the activity lake, the pool and restaurant are a bit of a hike uphill. After arriving at the camping up the curvy road to get there, you don't really want to visit the surrounding area. Its best to just stay put. Not many adult activities from 3pm to 7pm except for sports. It is great for people w dogs, teens, children and babies, for athletic people, for people who love to go fishing, for those who like hills and nature. If I were to go back I would reserve a bungalow closer to the lake that offers all the aquatic activities. Full season might be overwhelming if you want calm. Can go up to 4000 people but it feels very safe. I was able to let my 13 and 15 year olds do what they wanted without my supervision. Teen club was great for them to meet other teens. I chose this camping for the teen club, the lake aquatic structures and 'beach club'. 20 euros per person for full stay :a bracelet to access blow up water structure, paddle, kayak, canoë etc... Overall, I would go back, but not every year nor for more than 7 nights as I'm not a big fan of walking 6 km minimum per day up and down hill. It appears that If you have tent or camping car you are closer to all the fun......which seems a bit unfair since its much cheaper.
Dirty site, needs updating. Staff very friendly but clearly under pressure and not enough to keep site clean and tidy
The site is tucked away with signposts only once you are around 5km away. I trusted my GPS and it delivered me to the main entrance. My experience was somewhat mixed. Let's start with how they could improve. We were met at the gate by staff who checked my reservation and gave me a card (with what turned out to be my pitch number) and told me to go to reception pointing up hill. I drove up the hill, came to the swimming pool, bins, bar finally found reception. Turns out he had sent my up the exit so there were no signs for reception. When we go to our pitch we discovered despite booking a caravan there was no way I could drive onto that pitch, thankfully I have a mover but I would have been screwed if I hadn't.The final constructive criticism is that the roads are very rough. No need for speed bumps here!!Ok enough with the negative, positive stuff now:. The site was very lively and perfect for those with teenagers, with activities going on into the night. The swimming pool was great and although I didn't try it there is a swimming lake and kids inflatable activity zone. The shop is one of the best camp shops I have been in and the ice-cream milkshakes from the small bar were dangerously good. The site is hilly so those with limited mobility beware. The hill from the lake up to reception defeated my ebike in first gear on full boost (I was towing my son also)All in all I would stop hear again but would be more picky about my pitch
