Was looking to go back with my family after many years. Only to find out it’s been taken over and is becoming an adult only camp sight. It’s a massive shame as many family have enjoyed their experience. Good luck to the new owners I hope it works out for you both.
I had an amazing experience in country camping. With picturesque views of the Pyrenees mountains, sunflowers fields and incredible sunsets! The hosts Len and Mark couldn’t have been kinder and the facilities such as the pool were in great condition. I will DEFINITELY be back!
Title: A Rustic Retreat with a Personal Touch - Country Camping Delivers a Charming GetawayRating: ★★★★★ (5/5)My recent excursion to Country Camping, situated in the tranquil embrace of the French countryside, was an enchanting escape that left me feeling rejuvenated and connected to nature. Under the new ownership of Mark and Len, this campsite is blossoming into a unique haven that combines the best of camping and a personalized bed-and-breakfast experience. From the moment of our arrival, Mark and Len's genuine hospitality embraced us, creating an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. Their background in the hospitality industry, evident in every detail, transformed our stay into a truly enjoyable retreat. As the campsite's restoration unfolds, it's easy to see the potential it holds. Mark's personal tour of the grounds highlighted their dedication and passion for creating a special haven. His thoughtful gesture of hand-picking fresh fruits from the garden for breakfast added an authentic and flavorful touch to our mornings. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast served on the terrace, elevating the experience from a regular camping trip to a delightful "camp & breakfast" adventure. This personalized touch allowed us to savor our morning meal while immersing ourselves in the natural beauty that surrounds the campsite. The campsite's idyllic location offered a serene backdrop for our escape. The well-maintained facilities provided a comfortable and inviting environment. Despite some inclement weather, the pool provided a refreshing escape, enhancing our overall enjoyment. While our time at Country Camping was nearly perfect, it's worth noting that limited cellphone service and intermittent WiFi connectivity were minor inconveniences. However, these brief interruptions only encouraged a deeper connection with the peaceful surroundings. In summary, Country Camping offers a charming blend of rustic camping and personalized hospitality. Mark and Len's dedication to enhancing the camping experience shines through, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a tranquil and unique getaway. With a heart full of appreciation, I eagerly anticipate returning to witness the ongoing transformation of this delightful retreat. A resounding five-star recommendation for anyone in search of a serene and personalized escape.Ben & Jamie
Hello outdoor friends! Here’s reasons to treat yourself to this wonderful camping. What an absolute joy to stay here. First of all a lovely owner, shout-out to Mark! He made us fresh juice in de morning, camping 2.0 :) Then the surroundings, ‘le douce France’ and a magnificent clear display of the Pyrenees from a far. Fresh fruit from the trees for you to gather, a small walkabout which is also great for kids.Trip-tips;- Lovely town of Carla Bayle - Artiscan shops and dinner at- Cycle to the bakery at St. Ybars and enjoy supping on the lake there and a plat du jour- Toulouse by trainLast but not least the fresh dip in the pool when the sun is setting. Do yourself a favour and don’t skip this upcoming camping.
An amazing site that we stopped at twice both on our way to and from our trip to and from Spain. The site is a little Oasis, in a beautiful valley. Damien was a brilliant host, going over and above to help us out.The facilities are spotless, the pool a real bonus. If you are looking for a great, relaxed, friendly, English speaking site in a beautiful part of France, this is the one!! Thanks Damien. Hope to see you again soon.
