Latest reviews for CAMPING LES CHATAIGNIERS
My family has been abused by agressive language and has been expelled by the owner before even settled, threatened to be hurt and not getting the money back. This is unacceptable !
We arrived 9 in the evening on a Sunday without a reservation. While all other campings were closed, no stuff was anywhere around, here we had the best welcome, we even got bread ordered for us for breakfast! Very nice people, very family friendly quite place, amazing owner, absolutely recommend!
I was very shocked by the attitude of the manager during our stay at this campsite.... Aggressive, impolite, a piece of advice: move on!
This is a brilliant 3* campsite with fantastic views over the valley and across to the Hautucam. The campsite team were welcoming. The facilities were clean and it was nice and quiet (but we are slightly out of season). There's plenty of walking from the campsite and it's in striking distance if Gavarnie (60mins), Cauterets (30mins) and the Tourmalet. We'd definitely return.
Stunning views, lovely staff, very clean facilities. This was the perfect campsite for our cycling/hiking trip to the Pyrenees. We were given a pitch in the upper part of the campsite and the views are absolutely beautiful - the only negative being that walk to the showers/toilets is quite steep, but the pitches are huge and super quiet (we were there in peak and couldn't hear neighbours talking) so it's totally worth it.The owners are great, very willing to provide recommendations, and the tabac/restaurant (Chez Michelle?) and auberge in Arcizans-Avant are both cracking.Much recommended.
