Latest reviews for CAMPING L'OASIS PALAVASIENNE
We arrived on the Sunday and nothing was open the restaurant didn't open till Wednesday. You need a reservation for the restaurant. You need a car to get around as the camp shop is small but carries essentials but we needed a chemist and there's none on site. Within a half hour drive you can go to the seafront which is beautiful and there's lots to do there. My 3 boys went to the children's club for two days and loved it. The girl doing the children's club was very welcoming and the boys found the activities enjoyable and wished they'd gone all week. The entertainment team on site were good and tried to get people involved in the evening activities in the bar, restaurant and the pool party. The pools are very good but someone is needed at the top of the slides in the funpark as alot of football teams were here this week and kids being kids there was alot of pushing and shoving going on at the top of the slide. Our mobile home was with homair it was clean and had everything we needed. The biggest plus for the campsite was the staff throughout everyone was friendly that we met from the waitress in the restaurant, to all the bar staff, the entertainment team, shop staff and homair staff.
Could not believe how bad this place was booked in for a few night to find there was a kids football . Kids running wild passing van ECT asked reception if it would be better next night or we would move was told that it would be fine as they had a lot of complaints about the the racked and it would be delt with but this is rubbish the night is worse . If I had not had a beer I would of pulled off tonight . I understand that people need to have fun but this is like been in the middle of a rave . . Would never come back even if it was free. No respect ... Just had a football bounce of my window to sum it all up can't wait to leave . Now 10 .50 pm and still in rave mode. Worst site ever wish I had just left today and stayed in a air . Would have been saver . And less noise . Hopefully you never need to experience this .
Pitches are large, level and partly shaded and the staff are very friendly. BUT the toilets and showers were not cleaned once in the 3 days we were there!!!! Everything was already dirty on arrival, used tampons in the showers and the like more. For the price of ~65 € (3 nights, 1 x campervan, 2 x adults + electricity) NOT recommended. WiFi costs extra 5€ per day and device and is very weak.
No coulance. I had to leave the camping after one night, but I paid 300 euro in advance for 6 nights. The reason was that my tent collapsed and couldn't be fixed; first a mobil home was offered at a steep uncharge, but later on it was not available anymore. It was the most expensive night ever for me: one night, cost me 300 euro and there was no coulance, no understanding or partial compensation.Apparently the management thinks it is easier to keep explaining the policy then to think with a client; in high season, one of the last available spots would easily have been rented to some one else.I guess the camping earned double income at my expense.Weird enough, after telling the ladies at the reception that I reserved a hotel, suddenly the mobil home was available again, for a better price. The management could inform the ladies at the reception but would not talk to me.I intend to find out if this is legal since there has been jurisprudence about these kind of situations.A good advice to everybody; never pay everything in advance.
Visually nice. Bungalow had some issues - stove not fully working. Swimming pool closed at 7pm.
