Latest reviews for CAMPING MONTROSE
If you looking for a quiet holiday park, this is the place amongst the vineyards.
Frankly, I've been to campsites in my life and this one is one of the best we found in the family campsites of my childhood. the catering nothing to say everything is homemade even the fries. And the staff is seriously friendly and adds all the charm of the establishment
A small family campsite which, although with its star, still deserves its 5 stars on Google.Certainly, the website is no longer so up to date today... but you will quickly be relayed to their more up-to-date reservation platform, and see if you wish, you can go through the Vacances Camping platform. The managers are very friendly and accommodating. The welcome is always smiling and friendly. When I arrived, the previous holidaymakers were late in their departure, but we were offered refreshments while waiting for their departure. The rented mobile home, although already a few years old (but the rental rate was more than correct for the season at the end of July/August, depended on it ;)), was very clean and in very good condition. The campsite is shaded, perfect for putting your car in the shade. The campsite does not currently offer BBQ or electric plancha rental, that could be an idea, having said that having brought mine which unfortunately started to malfunction, the always helpful managers spontaneously offered to lend us a of their emergency plancha. The swimming pool is well maintained. I note, to everyone's detriment, that only the wasps came at times to fly around the pool to drink from it. But, unfortunately we can't do anything with mother nature ;). Maybe set up wasp traps, but that would make the most eco-friendly people cringe ;) The campsite also offers a laundry service, which is very practical to avoid having too much laundry when you return from vacation.I didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant. There is very little, if not no, noise in the evening and at night, except of course during planned evenings (Saturdays) and this until midnight to respect the peace and quiet of the campers. I noticed that there were a small number of "regulars" on the campsite, thus supporting this family and peaceful aspect, which is what I was initially looking for. We are perhaps still far from the "large campsite" format that we find on the coast (to quote Argelès etc). For children, they will surely have the chance to see the horses at the equestrian center located not far away, and for the more "fun" side, to find the funfairs on the coast, 25/30 minutes away (Marseillan, Vias) . Pézenas is 7 minutes by car, perfect for shopping (Leclerc, Carrefour Market, Lidl, Aldi etc.) The campsite can always help you out with some products at reception. The region is very pretty, the Canal du Midi not very far away (Vias) for a boat ride (barge), the town of Adge (and its Château Laurens Museum and Agathois Museum) are worth visiting, as is also the town of Pézenas. In short, a quality/price ratio that I do not regret. And for wine lovers, don't forget that the Montrose campsite is adjacent to the Domaine Montrose, and that it is still possible to taste wine in the campsite's restaurant and bar. (and certainly at the cellar located a few steps away). There are certainly little things to improve, but this little piece of land hidden in the Hérault vineyards is worthy of finding its place among the best family campsites on the Mediterranean coast.Maybe next year if the opportunity is right!
A karaoke evening with friends. The food is good, the service leaves something to be desired. But a nice evening nonetheless
A campsite with always a family spirit.Spacious accommodation.Aurélie and Greg are really friendly and pleasant and attentive to your needs.Very good restaurant. We had a great stay and we plan to come back.Advantage: shops nearby, and lots of places to visit nearby.
