Latest reviews for CAMPING LE MÉDITERRANÉE-PLAGE
Very noisy resort with a heap of hidden costs.Unlike other resorts, you need to pay extra for essentials such as bbqs. The outdoor table and chairs are cheap snd brittle. The bike ‘rental’ offering is also very poor.No staff on the two occasions we visited, and the bikes looked like they were left overs from previous guests. We had to go elsewhere to neighbouring sites to find adequate bikes to rent. Very very noisy at nights.Until at least 12pm there is noise from the ‘entertainment’ which means it’s impossible to get young children to bed..we did complain and were told it was a once off, but it wasn’t.Every night is loud and noisy. The most disappointing part for us was the hidden charge of over 75 euro for cleaning when you depart even after we left our chalet clean and spent a day cleaning it out in the heat. We had no communication or warning from reception that we would be charged this when we told them we were checking out.Very disappointed and not worth the 4 star it gets. We have been to much better camps in France.
Good but has to arrange better dietary options and information. I got a straw made of wheat without knowing, whilst being celiac. I got sick and the lady of the restaurant was not friendly about it. The reception staff however, are very friendly people and kind and warm. For them, and for the lovely location (at the beach of Vias Plage) and good facilities (nice pool, beach access, beautiful campground) we will return.
Just stayed for 1 week with my 2.5 year old and can not rate this place enough. Could of stayed for 3 weeks with plenty to do and lots of entertainment. Was amazing - couldn't recommend enought!
Good points:Staff: very kind and helpful personnel at the reception.Child friendliness: there are lots of things to do for children all day and night. Swimming pool, beach, kids' club activities and at night mini-disco and other shows.Swimming pool: decent pool with some slides. It is kept well maintained and clean. Watch out for the ancient French rule of no swim shorts though! It is strictly followed here for both adults and children.Supermarket and bakery: the supermarket is almost a full-size supermarket, not a "mini" type that you see in most campsites. Both the supermarket and the bakery had lots of variety and delicious food. The house wine on tap offered in the supermarket was really nice.Reasons for my low rating:Sanitary facilities were not cleaned adequately and not well-maintained. All taps and showers were equipped with timed flow taps, either push taps or electronic taps. This is normal for a campsite. However, what I found strange was the huge difference in flow times among the taps. One tap would run for 5-6 minutes, whereas a shower tap runs for 15 seconds. Many water points were disabled, I guess, because of the water shortage in the area. Some others, including the ones in the toilets, were restrained with a simple plastic restrainer. Therefore, if you want to wash your hands with soap after using the toilet, you have to keep pushing with one hand while trying to wash the other. This campsite has awesome entertainment if you like loud music all night long. Every night there is either a show, a DJ, or live music, which is great. However, it was not for us, as we prefer more tranquility. The fact that our pitch was located very close to the entertainment area did not help at all. I asked for another pitch a little bit farther away, but there wasn't an available one. Nevertheless, having extremely loud music every night until 23:30-00:00 was not really fun for us as none of us could sleep until it was over. The general infrastructure of the camp was not well-maintained. Most roads are asphalt, and the area around the reception is well maintained. However, down in the alleys between pitches, the asphalt was broken in so many places that children kept falling while running or could not use their scooters because of that.Message for the management: Putting plastic restrainers on push-type water taps is not a proper water saving measure. It only makes the life harder for your guests. On the other hand, the cleaning staff uses only pressurized water to clean the toilets, but pays no attention to cleaning the panels, walls, or other parts. Speaking of water saving, this seemed counterproductive to me.I would also like to add a comment about the attitude of the camp manager. On one occasion, the manager came to our pitch and asked us nicely to put out the BBQ. He explained that it was not allowed in France anywhere and then went away immediately. However, I would expect from a manager to also ask about how we were doing.I understand that the manager has a job to do and that he needs to enforce the rules. However, I think it would be more welcoming and customer-oriented if he would take a moment to ask how his guests are doing. It would also be a good opportunity for him to learn more about our needs and to see if there is anything he can do to make our stay more enjoyable.I hope that you will take my feedback into consideration.
Our first stay at eurocamp ever. Two adults and two seven year olds. From the UK who flew.Accomodation:Dated is the first impression. Blinds don't work, shelves are missing from the bathroom, the toilet cistern has a hole in it for some unknown reason. I would recommend the three bedroom option over the two bedroom we went for. It will cost more but you will have a better experience for it.Bedding. Do not get the sheets package as it was an absolute waste of time, the sheets just cover the mattress, so as soon as you move the sheet comes off the bed. Bring your own fitted sheets and save the pain of making the beds everyday. I can't tell you how annoying this became on our stay. Even if you sat on the bed you needed to make it due to the few centimetres overlap. The water supply I felt was dangerous as it wasn't a consistent temperature. Going from warm to cold to boiling all in a few moments. Our children can shower themselves, but we needed to shower them because of this. The blinds in the kids room would not stay close and were also damaged and allowed light in.Storage. There seems plenty of storage but most of it is filled up by having 6 internal wooden chairs in the cupboards meaning you didn't have anywhere to store you clothes. We placed them under the beds to give us the room. Also I noticed that one was unsafe and should not have been used.Lighting. A number of lightbulbs were not working and needed replacing or the fixing needed repair. The hut, is a place where past quests leave stuff for the next camper. This was a lifesaver, as we flew down and didn't drive from the UK. So we were limited to what we could bring. We borrowed boules, a ball, flippers, and a inflatable which we left when we went and also added too with some waterpistals.I'll add to this review when I can.
