Latest reviews for CAMPING DU PORT
This is by far our favorite campsite. It's in a gorgeous location next to the Dordogne River. There are many large places, and we appreciate that some sections are not designated for camping, making it feel spacious. With movie nights, BBQs, and various events, we found plenty of opportunities to feel connected. We warmly recommend this campsite!
We have been using Camping Du Port for over 20 years now and every year there are more improvements carried out by the host Pierre and his team. This year the bar/restaurant area has been remodelled and looks amazing. The food is reasonably priced and very good. Great to have more than one vegetarian option which is missed in a lot of restaurants in this region. Well done Camping Du Port, keep up the good work! 😊
One of our favourite camp sites. This was our second visit to Camping du Port and we enjoyed staying here again.Pierrepont and the team have been working hard and have improved things since our previous visit. We look forward to coming here again in the future.
This is a charming campsite on the banks of the Dordogne in the charming little village of Creysse. Lots of trees for shade, very good sanitary facilities with lots of showers, nice bar, pool, and bar restaurant. The atmosphere of the campsite is great, with pitches being well set apart and discreetly marked out, far enough from your neighbours to not feel on top of each other (although closer to the river is a bit more packed in.The best thing though is the river, which has shallow areas and deep areas which are great for swimming. There are also shallow ‘rapids’ areas that are very brief and you can float down either with or without an inflatable. The weather was very hot when we were there (August 2023) and the river was perfect for cooling down. You do need beach shoes because the river and beach are gravel and a bit hard on the feet.Staff at the campsite were very helpful and the little shop has a limited range of essentials. Go to nearby Martel for more (es[eco ally the market if you can (Wednesday and Saturday I think).Great campsite and we will definitely return.
Pleasant stay We had a very pleasant stay and would return.- Well maintained campsite- Nice pitches, good balance between nature and comfort- Nice beach with stone or grass- Nice employees and boss- Clean sanitaryImprovements:- Showers were cold most of the time. Needs to be looked at during busy hours.- Paper at toilets was empty at times
