Latest reviews for CAMPING LE ROC
Really unimpressed. I made a booking online and it goes through and takes a deposit and everything but apparently this is only a booking request not a reservation. I checked the email this morning and noticed it was still pending. I had to contact the campsite myself to see if my booking was valid, at which time they told me the site is full. Now I am left scrambling to find a new site as I drive to Rocamadour on a Friday. If you have a booking system that needs to be confirmed maybe check the bookings more than once a day.
We have been coming to this site for many years and have had some great holidays here. The owners and their staff always make you feel welcome and comfortable during your stay and the facilities on site are excellent, having been upgraded in the last few years. The swimming pool is a good size with a baby pool at one end and although it's not the warmest water, when the hot weather is there, nearly all the children on site will be found playing there!Every week there are things to do, if you are ramblers then Philipe will host a group tour over the local area. Disco once a week in high season as well as other activities.Visit the pizzeria bar for a selection of food and drink. For excursions from the site, Rocamadour is just down the road, 5 to 10 minutes in the car, Gramat, nearby town has excellent amenities including supermarkets, restaurants and bars and a lovely atmosphere.Other nearby attractions include caves, the Dordogne river with canoes or bathing on gravel beaches by the river, 2 waterparks in easy reach, and some beautiful places eg Sarlat, Martel, Goufre de Padirac and lots more !Thanks Philipe and Pascale for the wonderful times we have had, and many more to come!!
Very quiet campsite just outside Rocamadour village. Had pizza and chips from the restaurant 😋 pool looks nice, not heated though so may not go in.
We spent 2 nights camping in a tent on a shady pitch and the campsite is very well maintained, the toilets are functional and very clean. The new owner is very nice, friendly, helpful. The road passes next to it, but it didn't bother us too much. All services (catering, food, swimming pool, entertainment, etc.) were not yet open, but this had no impact on us and our very good feeling for this campsite. Rocamadour is accessible by bike via a small road which passes just behind the campsite. We recommend it.
We had a great week at this campsite. The new owners are very friendly, the showers and toilets are clean and well maintained. There is a very good atmosphere and several activities: bingo, DJ, pétanque, etc.We were also able to enjoy the swimming pool which was very pleasant in this heat!Special mention to the Vegeroc pizza, I enjoyed it 🍽️In short, we will come back, because there are still plenty of activities to do around Rocamadour ⭐️⭐️⭐️
