CAMPING LA TRUFFIÈRE

Nicely laid out campsite.Pitches are a good size and have aGood amount of shade from its many trees.Some excellent views from the pitches on higher ground, or lower ones are good for families as they are close to pools.There are some good walks from the sites.Electric points are well positioned.If I had to improve this campsite then it would be the toilet blocks which serve too many people, certainly on the upper site.Also I found the gentleman in the bar restaurant to be a little rude which I noticed to myself and the people before me, seeming bored and impatient.But all things considered this is a very nice location and ran site, especially reception area, the lady there was very kind and ensured that we had all we needed.Note, if you go to the afternoon Market in Cajarc on a Saturday go later in the afternoon, it doesn’t get going until 14:00 minimum and runs until 20.00, so plenty of time.

Very nice campsite, good location not far from st cirq lapopie, with a nice walking path to go directly to the village. the rception girl is very friendly and helpful. only thing bothers me a little bit is that you have to walk in the shower room wth bare feet.

Booked via the website. Nice welcome on arrival. Invited by host to choose our pitch. Our placement was dictated by the length of our electric hook up, but we were happy with our pitch. Close to facilities which were kept clean. Lighting not left on at night but there is a switch in the toilets that lasts for a few minutes. Great view from the site over the Lot. Lovely pools. Kept clean with plenty of sun beds and shade. Great restaurant on site with good food. Long walk to St Cirque Lapopie, about 45 minutes there through wooded area and down a steep bank. Not recommended for people who have difficulty walking. Long walk back by road, about 50 minutes, uphill all the way! Still, St Cirque, well worth the visit.

Only stayed one night . Most of pitches were in a dark dirty wood . Shower block dirty and showers cold . Pool area was nice . The approach roads are very tricky with a caravan . There is a hairpin bend on one approach which is very very difficult to get around with a caravan . This should be stated on the website.We were over charged as it said 19 euros in acsi book and we had to pay 25 . Definitely will not be back .The old town was beautiful and definitely worth a visit

We spent a few days on this site last year and came back again for a second chance to enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful wood. The site is an idyllic location not far from the river and all that it offers. We camped on the edge of the woods to take in the lovely views while eating breakfast or evening BBQ.The staff here couldn't do more to make you feel welcome and the restaurant is well priced and very good.I like the huge area for children to play in and the pool to enjoy but as we have no children were able to find plenty of peace and quite up on the top of the campsite as I have said before. You choose the spot that is right for you and everyone is happy!I lost my watch while I was there and was very pleased to get a call a day after I left to tell me it had been found and it was returned to me by post. How kind of them to go to such trouble.I highly recommend this site, the return of my watch just added to what I already thought.Hope to return next year!
