Latest reviews for CAMPING DU PONT DE BRAYE
A little haven of peace. One of the best sites we’ve stayed on. Beautifully situated by the easily accessible river for paddling. The friendly , welcoming and very environmentally aware owners have transformed this place with careful tree management to provide sunny and shady pitches with tables and chairs and hammocks around the site. Toilets and showers pristine. Safe play area with netted trampoline for children. Bikes and child seats to borrow. Reasonably priced restaurant and bar served different meal each evening and pizzas available at weekend. We had steak and chips and there was also charcuterie and cheese one night that looked amazing. Well worth a detour and very highly recommended.
Excellent campsite in a beautiful location. Good facilities and very friendly, helpful owners. Would definitely return.
A great campsite next to a beautiful river. The camping owners, Katia and Bruno are very friendly and can help you with just about anything! They cook every evening, serving great pizza's and fries with steak on the terrace. The toilets and showers are very clean and they even have a corner with lots of boardgames. All in all a great place to camp with very friendly people!
Katia and Bruno truly want the best for their guests. We do not speak French very well, and they took their time to find words we understood and to speak slowly and clearly. Furthermore, when we were looking for something specific to buy, they went as far as calling nearby stores whether it was in stock to save us from that hassle. The food is very good and the service is great. Whatever your needs are, they try their best to help out and make sure you have a nice stay. For example: when Bruno asked me how I'd slept, and I told him it was a bit cold, immediately Katia offered me a blanket for the next night!Camping du Pont de Braye is an eco camping. That does not have to mean that it's uncomfortable or strict! With simple measures we save a ton of water and waste. It gave us new insights in ways to improve your footprint when on holiday. The only downsides are things you should expect and they cannot influence. The water is sometimes of low pressure and the nights can get a bit cold. That happens at this altitude, and it isn't a show stopper. We truly recommend you stay for a few nights if you have the opportunity. If you're doubting between campings: this is it!
Beautifully located, quiet campside. We stayed with a tent right next to the river. There is not much around, except for one café filled with mostly locals.Very friendly staff!
