Latest reviews for CAMPING LA BLAQUIERE
Stunning spot by the Tarn river. We got a riverside pitch which meant waking to a beautiful view. The “non river” pitches are only a minute or two to walk to it too. Lovely hosts who bring round fresh baguettes in the morning (order by 7pm night before) and also have pizza to order a few evenings a week. There’s a few canoeing trips up-river (who will collect you from the campsite). The river is gorgeous with plenty of places to swim and a safe cliff jump just a few minutes down river. The small motor boat tours that pass through a few times an hour are a bit annoying and break the tranquility but that’s not the fault of the campsite owners. Apart from that, the nature is stunning. Eagles fly in the gorges overhead and small birds and beautiful butterflies and moths surround the area (including the rare hummingbird moth which was a treat to see).
Great campsite for climbing access, 5 - 15 min walk to most major crags and well-stocked shop onsite with good local beers, nice and friendly staff/owners.
Absolutely fantastic camping, such a beautiful and peaceful setting right beside the river. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who go out of there way to help - booking canoe excursions, delivering fresh bread to your pitch in the morning and even delivering delicious pizza on a Saturday night. Food at the snack bar is great too. One of our favourite ever campsites!
Stayed here for a few days in July 17 and got to say it is one of the best campsites I have ever stayed at.Large pitches close to the river , hook-ups and water close by and the cleanest toilet blocks I have ever seen, hotel or campsite!.The staff were very friendly and welcoming and everything you need is here, from basics in the shop, fresh bread every day, to a snack bar with the tastiest burgers in France, definitely the place to stay in this wonderful area of the Gorge du Tarn.... we will be back.
Wonderful campsite, great staff, clean toilets and showers, beautiful location, amazing food, reasonable price. Best camping everrrrrr!
