Latest reviews for CAMPING HIPPOCAMPE
As a family holiday with children and grandchildren, it was amazing. The entertainment was first class . Everything was very clean , very helpful staff especially the young lifeguards . Most had a good level of English. The location and transport meant we did not need to hire a car. Good air conditioning in chalet. We never had a poor meal at any of the restaurants. Our only slight issue was the poor level of comfort afforded by the bed pillows!
9 nights with 4 kids in August We stayed at L'hippocampe during August (peak times). There were 6 of us sharing a 5 bed mobile.Good;* The food quality and price at restaurants was very good* The staff were nice and friendly (though they worked long hours)* The pools slides and features were fun and not too busy* The range of activities via the app was great* The cycle lanes from camp to beach/local towns were pretty safe and convenient* The night entertainment was top classNot so good:* The mobile home was tired and not that clean. We were constantly battling to keep ants out of the mobile home.* The cars around La Sirene camp were a nuisance* The artificial grass around the pool was not comfortable. Too hot to walk on and the rules of no shoes was ridiculous. There was also very little shelter or parasols to protect you from the sun.* The quality of food from the bakery was not as good as we've experienced in other camps, it was also more expensive that it should have been.* There was a lack of toilets on both camps and shower facilities were non-existent. This couldn't help with hygiene across the camps.* Lack of engagement and activities for teenagers.Overall, it wasn't perfect for our family but we still had a good time. The location, cost and weather outweighed the accommodation and the lack of camp facilities.
Place is becoming a little tired in appearance and in need of a lot of attention. Not really appropriate for very small toddlers. Evening entertainment way too late for the kids. Our chalet was full of ants and mosquitos everywhere. Dining options very limited. Everything could and should have been better. Will suit some families; not ours. I expected more for the money I paid.
Super friendly place with great service. My children loved the lifeguard Liah, I don't know if I wrote her name correctly, sorry in advance. Safe place, the security took care of it. Evening performances were great, the bingo lady was amazing. I will definitely go back there. I recommend it.
Irish family of four feedback.3 children in our group under 10 greatly enjoyed the Club activities.Clubs for children between 10-12 were disappointing as all 6 children in this age group in our family group refused to return after trying it out as they found the activities were not very interesting.A safer passage between l’Hippocampe and La Sirene would be a wonderful addition.Larger servings of food in Bambou restaurant would be appreciated.Reception did not send a text to let us know our accommodation was ready as they had advised, which delayed our setup on Day 1.Overall we believe l’Hippocampe is a great experience that could be improved if these few items were considered.
