Beautiful location of this resort in the lush green nature with natural tree shade on the feet of the Pyrenees mountains. The town and coast are a short drive from the site. Secure access, store with daily fresh products, restaurants, activities for all, beautiful pool and fun slides. Parking spot next to the cabin. Comfortable (with a cold A/C) modern and clean unit with a relaxed covered deck area where we spent most of the time. Outdoor cooking plate is provided. The staff at the reception, shop, restaurants and facility support staff were all very friendly and helpful (even at the end of a long summer season) At the reception, besides French and English also Spanish, German and Dutch was spoken. (even Mandarin by the intern from China)
First time at Bois Fleuri and we loved it. Great campsite in a beautiful area with first class staff and facilities. Special mentions for Jeremy, Maura at the bar, Laurence in the shop and Virginie the shuttle bus driver, all lovely. And Tanja on reception for being so helpful. If I was to be super critical I would have liked more for our 21 month old grandson, too young for mini club, maybe a soft play area or similar. Also the 9 year old in our party was too young for some of the activities, which were 13 plus, that was disappointing. Pools and slides were all great though, everyone loved those. Would have liked the pizza and snack takeaway to be open more too. We tried the buffet dinner once, the food was fine but the experience was spoiled by a young school party who were rude, pushing into the queue and taking all the food meaning we had to wait. And the teachers just sat and said nothing. Had same problems on shuttle bus, kids being rude, pushing in and standing up whilst moving meaning driver had to keep stopping to shout at them. I appreciate these groups will be good for business but it’s not fair on all other customers if they misbehave in this way. The shuttle bus was a real bonus for us as we didn’t have a car and this was one of the reasons we chose to stay with you. Anyway we all had a lovely holiday and would recommend and hopefully will return. Just keep doing what you do Bois Fleuri, we love you!!!
I think the most disliked part was the communication, it was our first time in France and did not realize how little English was spoken there. I would recommend it you don't speak french to pass this site.Luckely we did not take the breakfast and diner options, for breakfast only available options is bread/cheese and yogurt with some cereals. No eggs or bacon or any fruit. One of the day's there was not cheese avaiable and was still fully charged, maybe add extra 2 euro for eggs or muesli. There was 2 instances where there was no medial aid box or help available. There was a girl which had a head injury and had to wait until they "find" a medical aid box.We paid extra for cleaning as we would be leaving early in the morning just to be notified that we need to clean the room as the cleaning charge it for bathroom and other cleaning, and not to make up the beds. There is at least one positive where we forgot my son's bear's and they offered to courier it, still waiting to see the costs.
Very nice looking camping, shop (baguettes in the morning) only opens up at 08.15 hours (late), hardly to no mobile phone connection, poor wireless coverage, expensive coins for washing machine (for which they claim to use colourless and odourless powder...but don't believe this. Bring your own washing "powder" when you want a bit more serious cleaning), nice swimming pool. All in all a nice experience but most probably not enough to return.
great experience overall. We will be back
