Latest reviews for CAMPING LA TOUR DE FRANCE
It's lovely, quiet and the people who work there are very nice. Nice bar, swimming pool, and facilities for children. Our bungalow was brand new!
Best camping in the region. Access to the coast and to Cathares region. Practical area with rivers and nice forest walk with and for kids. Amazing wine and restaurant in the region. Strongly recommend this camping also as it is clean and welcoming. The owners are young and always available to smile and share their knowledge of the locality. Born and bread locally they will make you spend great holidays.
We loved this site, we stayed for a month last year (2019, early July to early August) in our 4m bell tent. Good size pitch at the back of the site, quiet but only a short walk to the toilets/showers/washing up area etc - all very clean and tidy. Owners friendly and helpful. Pool area was nice, and the restaurant served excellent food at very reasonable prices. Could not fault the site of service and we hope to return in 2021.
We stayed at 7 campsites in 3 weeks in June/July 2019. This 1 was the only one I would not return to. These are the reasons:1. The toilet block (the 1 nearest reception) is awful. Toilets have clanking metal doors, they smell inside, they are like mini prison cells.2. The washing up sinks (again, nearest to the reception) are crawling with ants.3. The bar area is un-inviting. It was very busy with French people staying in their mobile homes, and I suspect a few locals.4. The pool is not very clean, I daren't put my head under water in case I caught something.5. The shop isn't much more thn a vending machine.6. The reception is only open briefly in the morning & afternoon. Didn't make much difference, as they have no services or rentals to offer anyway.7. The local village has no amenities. The only good things I could say are that the pitches are spacious, although rather sandy and there is a new toilet block, which we didn't discover until the last morning of our 3 night stay. It's a shame, sorry, but it just didn't live up to its ratings.
very nice camping we will come more often to this place beautifully lit swimming pool where you can relax
