Nine kilometres off the motorway, a lovely campsite owned only for a year by a youngish french couple. Obviously working hard to improve the site with recently new toiletblock, which is immaculate, new lodges and improved pitches with individual toilet facilities. Very friendly and helpfull owners who, when we asked for a hardstanding pitch because of the recent rain, suggested that we park on the gravel roadway in front of an empty lodge! A very practical response to our request and a very good idea. We were the only residents in the whole so very peaceful. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Very quiet and comfortable camp site with large pitches, private bathroom facilities, own refrigeration, pool, playgrounds, bar and friendly staff who just started running this camping. Easy drive to medieval places like San Antonin and Penne, beautiful canoe trip. If you want to have the feeling to camp in the nature but have the luxury of a well equipped pitch or rent a cabin or lodge, Camping du Bois is your place to be.

We are a family of 5 (with a special needs child and a young baby) and stayed in a lodge for a few days. The owners of the camping were extremely kind and helpful. Everything is in very good condition and nice quality!I recommend this camping to families with young children.

Spent one night here as we drove through France. On arrival met by very friendly owner. Had our pick of pitches. Lovely bar area and ordered pizza from local takeaway. Next morning fresh croissants and rolls. Set in the countryside shelter by tress for shade. Would highly recommend.

I do not recommend this camping. The camping spots ranged from normal to very large (some were crooked), which is good, but then the road on the camping was really bad. A few bumps here and there and they put tiny stones on it, which were really sharp and penetrated my shoes during my stay. There is an open Wi-Fi internet connection, but it's very limited. It does not cover a lot of places, so every time you'd want to use it (it's 2013), you'll have to walk over to the reception. The speed is super slow, so sending an email (without attachments) and online texts with your phone are fine, but browsing is really slow. You'll get around 150 kbps. There's only one sanitary and it's a long walk from where I was settled. I've been hearing the camping owners are planning on building another sanitary, which is definitely a must. The sanitary was seperated by gender, but both signs looked like females, therefore I've noticed a couple females in the men section. Temperature wise the water alternated between cold and mildly warm. There wasn't too much pressure, unforuntately, which made showering a little harder. It dropped even more when there was somebody else showering too. Multiple times there were a lot of tiny (digusting) flies on the walls of the shower. Not sure why.The sinks are together, so there's not much privacy there. The toilets are suited with a bin, a matt and a cleaner, which was very neat. The biggest downside though was that there's no toilet paper around...The swimming pool isn't that large, but it's large enough to get a good swim. You can't swim in swim shorts and that really blows. All of the kids play with pooltoys (inflatable crocodiles and what not), so why is that allowed and swim shorts are not?Since the owners are Dutch a lot of the visitors were Dutch as well. There were a lot of (younger) kids on the camping. I haven't seen any teenagers though. It seems that there are animals nearby of the camping (cows or something, I couldn't see due to the trees). They are the cause for some smells (depending on the wind) and flies, so be warned.Personally I found the female owner of the camping quite obnoxious. She was trying to hard to connect with the visitors of the camping and tried to be funny while she was at it.
