CAMPING LE TAMPICO

A lovely campsite with spacious pitches both in shade and some in sunshine. Surrounded by mountains and an easy 20 minute walk along the river path into Barcelonnette. Friendly owner, everything very well organised, restaurant and bar, large washing machine (5 euro) and clean shower and toilet facilities. Highly recommended.

I stayed here over the weekend for the Adventure MotoFestival which is incredibly busy. There were two of us camping in two tents on one pitch with electricity - plenty of room in a shady pitch with trees and not too far from the toilets and with water available neaby to our pitch.We had organised half board for two days and breakfast only for another two and stayed four nights in total. When I say that we had organised the meals, what I should have said was that the owner called me to ask if I was interested in booking in advance - which I was and did. An excellent and well organised service.On arrival everything was very smooth, the distribution of the meal tickets and our pitch. The toilets and showers were very good and always clean (with a hundred or so motorcyclists staying at the same time, this was quite an achievement).Breakfast and our three course dinner was excellent as was the service and the smiling faces of all the staff.A lovely campsite, well organised and well run.I will certainly be back.

Veri nice campsite with good restaurant

Pretty mountain views, large pitches with lots of shade and a well run campsite. On top of that you will get a nice restaurant with excellent pizzas, a nice communal area and last but not least very friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Will certainly return when I get back to Barcelonnette!

Lovely site, excellent toilet, shower, washing block. Feels safe and secure. Plenty of shade. Restaurant on site very good. Friendly staff. Bread and pastry available onsite. We will return and recommend.
