Visited this camping during my first camper road trip and It exceeded my expectations. Sanitary facilities always clean and a lot of space, water fountain and electricity close by.The highlights: 1)having the opportunity of ordering fresh bread and viennoiseries in the morning, and having them for breakfast with the mountains and the river surrounding us. 2) being able to access the river as it was right by our pitch. 3) the pet friendly feature and the super kind and caring staff. I hope to come back one day!

It's a beautiful campsite, right by a nice part of the river Verdon. There is plenty of shade and trees. The swimming pool is beautiful and clean, and the facilities are good and reasonably clean, though I didn't feel comfortable sitting down on the toilets without wiping them down first (it's kind of inherent with campground toilets I think). The toilets always have toilet paper and 2/3 toilet blocks have soap available :) The staff is really friendly and there is a shop with all the basic necessities, including fresh baguette and croissants in the morning. Our first week here was off-season and that was really really nice, but the second week was in high-season and it was noticeable. The campsite - in my opinion - lost a bit of the charm when it was crowded with tents and RVs and caravans. The pitches are on the smaller side, I would prefer pitches that are 1,5 x the size they are now. They offer XL pitches but even a regular sized pitch should be a bit larger I think. It feels to me like your neighbours are too close to you. This is only an issue during high-season. If you don't mind sharing your space with many others, this campsite is good for you in any season, though I personally would only return here during off-season (which I may do, since the facilities are nice, and the surroundings are stunning).A last remark: I*really* don't like cigarette smoke, and there is a relatively large number of people who smoke on the campsite, even in the toilets. I think it's super old-fashioned to allow smoking at a campsite (it's detrimental for health & environment, and especially dangerous during a drought like this year!) and I would love to see them ban this in the near future, especially since they claim to be an ethical and environmentally friendly campsite.Edit: okay one more remark haha. Their animation team has kicked off and this is perfect for children, but kinda annoying for two childless people looking for a bit of quiet. Another reason for us to visit out of season, but may be nice for families! :)

Easy going campsite. Places are very big, you get free choice on where to stand. The sanitary is clean, the shop has all you need. Staff is very friendly and good at English too! And best of all: the river is always near (and when too cold, the pool's there to the rescue). Great place to go. Only downside: restaurant is closed in low season, but Castellane is not far away

Nice camping located next to the river.About 15 minute drive from Castellane. Great view of the mountains while also next to the river. It's a beautiful area with fun roads to drive on (if you don't mind motorcycles and speeding locals). The campsite itself is well maintained and the bread is excellent. Keep in mind you are camping with a lot of nature around you, so do expect to see/hear weasels or martens.

OMG. Most amazing campsite I’ve ever stayed at. I’m 13 and we go to France every year and always camp. This campsite was so relaxing. We had a pitch on the river and it was lovely. You could just walk out of our tent and straight into the river. We bought inflatables and went down the river from the top of the campsite right to the bottom that was the best bit! There was rafting some days and that looked really fun but we didn’t get chance to do that. The campsite is run by a family and it’s got everything you need for kids and adults. Also the bread is great 👍
